$63,000 in fees could not stop this Florida man from showing his support for Donald TrumpĀ

Supporting Donald Trump comes at a price for many Americans.

Some have lost their jobs, others have lost friends, and a few have even been physically attacked for wearing Donald Trump apparel.

But $63,000 in fees could not stop this Florida man from showing his support for Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has faced witch hunt after witch hunt ever since he defeated Hillary Clinton to win the Presidency in 2016.

From the Russian-collusion hoax to the sham impeachments to Pelosiā€™s January 6 committee to 98 charges across four indictments, Democrats have tried their best to take down Donald Trump.

Despite their best efforts, Donald Trump pulled off the greatest comeback in history last week when he defeated Kamala Harris by a landslide to become the 47th President of the United States.

But Donald Trump is not the only one to face witch hunts, lawfare, and attacks for their political views.

Joe Biden weaponized the Justice Department and the FBI to go after Donald Trump supporters, pro-life Americans, and parents who opposed school mask mandates.

On November 1, a 60-year-old man attacked a Trump supporter in a New York grocery store and left him with broken teeth and a bloodied mouth.

In June, a 27-year-old assaulted an 82-year-old man in Massachusetts for holding a Trump sign.

And a 64-year-old man was assaulted in April with a sledgehammer for having Trump signs on his vehicle.

This is why a lot of Trump voters do not publicly show their support for the President-elect.

But $63,000 in fees could not stop this Florida man from showing his support for Donald Trump.

Marvin Peavy and his wife own a vacation home in Seagrove Beach along the busy road 30A.

Since 2020, Peavy has hung several banners on his home expressing his support for Donald Trump.

ā€œTrump 2020,ā€ ā€œTrump Now, Trump Won,ā€ ā€œYou missed Trump 2024,ā€ and ā€œBulletproofā€ are a few of the massive banners he hung on his beautiful home.

Peavyā€™s home has been egged multiple times.

ā€œIt made me a little nervous cause I was hanging a banner, a big banner,ā€ he said. ā€œWe had a few people throw eggs at it, and missed the sign completely,ā€ he continued. ā€œLike I said, Iā€™m a fighter so you know youā€™re not gonna beat me with one big throw of a big egg.ā€

But Peavy has more than an egg problem to deal with.

He is also facing more than $63,000 in fees for his Trump banners.

After Trumpā€™s win in the presidential election last week, Peavy hung a new banner that reads ā€œTrump Coming Home 2025.ā€

ā€œI had hundreds of people at my house this morning cheering me on, hundreds of people cheering me on yesterday,ā€ Peavy said. ā€œPeople love it because people believe in America the free.ā€

According to Peavy, officials told him that the banners violate the Scenic Corridor Code 6.10.05.

He is charged $50 per day for every day a banner is hung up.Ā

After 42 months of proudly displaying his support for Trump, Peavy has accumulated roughly $63,000 in fines.

But he refuses to take down the banners.

ā€œTheir laws cannot supersede my First Amendment right, so they came after my constitutional rights, which they cannot do,ā€ he said. ā€œIt woke me up as a patriot.ā€Ā

ā€œIā€™m very happy that they came after me and I woke up,ā€ he said. ā€œIā€™ve got great lawyers,ā€ he continued, before adding that ā€œwe feel very good about whatā€™s going on.ā€

Only time will tell whether Peavy is forced to pay the fines.

But one thing is certain.

Peavy has no plans to take down his Trump banners anytime soon.

ā€œWeā€™re Americans, itā€™s a great day to wake up today and be a Godly American because we are the people, and our government is coming back to us and thatā€™s what Donald Trump has promised us,ā€ he said. ā€œWe will control our government and not our government controlling us.ā€
