Democrats were down in the dumps after President Joe Biden bombed during the debate.
The entrance of Vice President Kamala Harris into the race gave them a massive enthusiasm boost.
Suddenly they had a Presidential candidate who could compete with former President Donald Trump.
A staggering $200 million in donations poured into Harris’ camping her first week in the race.
The Villages is a retirement community in Central Florida that is known for being a Republican stronghold. It has a geographic area that is rapidly expanding and presently covers over 33,000 acres. The community spans three counties, Sumter, Lake, and Marion and is the fastest-growing metropolitan statistical area in the United States.
A golf cart rally was held for Harris that attracted hundreds of her supporters there.

A parade of golf carts drove through town with “Harris for President” signs and other Democrat paraphernalia.
Trump carried Sumter Country, Florida, where most of the retirement community is located, with 68% of the vote in the 2020 Election.
The video of the parade went viral on social media and gave Democrats newfound confidence about their electoral prospects in Florida.
Villages Democratic Club vice president Dennis Foley said that it was the largest golf cart parade in a decade for a Democrat candidate.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison suggested that the parade was a sign of things to come in Florida.
“I’ve been saying this since [Nikki Fried] became Chair… DO NOT sleep on Florida!” Harrison wrote on X. [Florida Democrats] are getting in formation and will shock a lot of folks this November! Our seniors know who has had their backs these past few years!”
“Don’t count Florida out! We are in a moment,” stated Florida Democratic Party chairwoman Nikki Fried.
Ron DeSantis mocks Democrat golf cart rally
The Harris campaign announced that their volunteers in Florida were going to begin knocking on the doors of voters and making phone calls.
A sign that the campaign is taking the state more seriously than Biden did.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis mocked the Democrat golf cart parade at The Villages.
“That’s a small fraction of the golf carts that descend on the various Villages courses for ‘dew sweeper’ tee times every morning,” DeSantis wrote on X.
Reporter Marc Caputo was less than impressed with the showing.
“I will sleep on Florida until something awakens me,” Caputo said. “100 pro-Dem golf carts at The Villages doesn’t do it for me.”
“That said, Harris could be the start of a longterm 12-year turnaround plan for Dems in Florida. But they will likely blow it the way they have the past 20 years,” Caputo added.
DeSantis took another swipe at Democrats and encouraged them to invest money in Florida.
“I really hope Harris spends/wastes a lot of time and resources in Florida,” DeSantis said. “We have Floridians who moved to our state to escape the policies of San Francisco Democrats. Implementing those policies nationally under a Harris administration is a non-starter. Kamala has no chance in the Sunshine State.”
