Ron DeSantis trashes Tim Walz for his pandemic policies
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was relatively unknown on the national stage when Vice President Kamala Harris picked him to be her running mate.
He entered the Presidential race with one of the worst records in responding to the pandemic in the country.
Walz famously let Black Lives Matter rioters go on a rampage through Minneapolis while trying to drop the hammer on anyone eating a hamburger at a restaurant.
The Minnesota Governor’s catchphrase during his stump speeches on the campaign trails has been, “Mind your own business.”
“In Minnesota, we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make,” Walz ranted. “Even if we wouldn’t make the same choice for ourselves, there’s a golden rule, mind your own damn business.”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took off the gloves when he was asked about Walz at a press conference.
“As Florida governor, I learn a lot about other states because when people leave those states, they tell me why they left those states,” DeSantis said. “I remember during COVID, the absolute frustration that people had moving from Minnesota because of how they were being treated.”
Florida is the number one destination for residents of Minnesota moving to another state.

DeSantis ripped Walz for his phony claims of supporting personal freedom during his stump speech.
“This is a guy who’s out there with a line in his stump speech saying, ‘Our neighbors can do what they want, mind your own damn business,’” he continued. “Why did you set up a snitch hotline for neighbors to report on their neighbors for violating your draconian COVID restrictions? That’s not minding your own damn business! That’s government overreach.”
Walz established a hotline for Minnesota residents to report their neighbors violating pandemic restrictions.
The Florida Governor noted that Walz signed a bill into law turning his state into a “trans sanctuary” for minors wanting to change genders.
“They actually have a policy where they’re a sanctuary state for gender surgery for minors, so you can have a kid go with no parent consent to Minnesota and get this stuff done. And I’m just thinking like, how is that standing for parents’ rights?” DeSantis wondered.
DeSantis noted that he often talks to new residents of the Sunshine States, so he talks to citizens who have relocated from Minnesota.
“I always ask people, when they tell me they moved [from Minnesota to Florida], I said, are you glad you did? And they say they are, so that’s that,” DeSantis stated.
People are voting with their feet because of Tim Walz’s leadership in Minnesota.
U.S. News & World Report found that Minnesota was 41st in the country for in-migration while Florida ranked second.
Tim Walz is lying through his teeth when he talks about respecting the choices that people make.
