Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody broke up one scary South American crime ring

Aug 22, 2024

Crime is surging across the country during the Biden-Harris Administration.

The border crisis is letting anyone walk into the country.

And Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody broke up one scary South American crime ring.

Sophisticated foreign criminals are operating in the country

Sophisticated criminal outfits from South America have been robbing homes all around the country under President Joe Biden.

These groups are able to beat alarms, safes, and other common security measures used by their victims.

Four illegal aliens from Colombia were arrested for going on a crime spree through Florida where they broke into homes and businesses in at least seven counties.

They used Wi-Fi jammers and other tech devices to disable the security systems their victims had.

The Colombians would pose as runners, landscaping workers, or even Muslims wearing a burka as part of their scheme.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the “South American theft group” stole nearly $1.7 million worth of cash, jewelry, electronics, and other valuables from gated communities in Florida.

“Once they have their victim’s pattern, then they attack,” Judd said.

He revealed that these illegal aliens had multiple encounters with immigration officials who did not detain them.

“These defendants conspired together to commit multiple burglaries across Central Florida —using members of the group as decoys outside the homes of small business owners while others broke into the residences, stealing more than $1.5 million worth of items,” Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody said in a statement. “Thanks to the great investigative work of our law enforcement partners, our Statewide Prosecutors have charged them with serious felony counts and these criminals will be held accountable.”

Geraldine Galeano-Perez, the group’s ringleader, had a criminal history in Colombia and was previously arrested in New York for money laundering and forgery.

The United States no longer has a border

Judd noted that two of the illegal aliens in the crime ring had been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in April and released.

“We don’t have a broken immigration system in the United States of America,” Judd said. “We have a non-existent immigration system in the United States of America.”

Countless criminals and terrorists were among the more than 11 million illegal aliens to enter the country under the Biden-Harris administration.

“Now we have these organized criminals coming through the Southern border targeting legitimate Americans, legitimate small businesspeople and looking for people in gated communities in nice houses with money and jewelry,” Judd warned.

A gated community and security system was not enough to protect Floridians from this crime ring.

Judd warned that everyone was at risk of being a victim of illegal alien crime.

“These people are coming after you too,” Judd said. “And they’re able to do that because you have a non-existent system to keep these criminals out of our country.”

South American crime rings using the same tactics are operating in Los Angeles and Detroit.

Judd laid that blame at the feet of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“The federal government allowed those burglaries to occur because they won’t do their job,” Judd stated.
