Small Ohio city overrun by illegal aliens from Haiti
The city of Springfield, Ohio has been at the center of a national controversy.
Nearly 20,000 illegal aliens from Haiti who were paroled by the Biden-Harris administration were dropped into the town of roughly 60,000 people.
Handling the influx of that many people has strained resources in Springfield and caused social problems.
Residents of the city complained that the Haitian newcomers were eating ducks and geese from the local parks.
Some locals reported that the Haitians were taking pet cats and eating them.
Democrats and their media allies freak out about the potential political damage that the crisis in Springfield could do to Vice President Kamala Harris’ political fortunes.
They falsely claimed that any reports about the Haitian illegal aliens were a right-wing conspiracy theory.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis weighed in on the situation during a press conference.
His wife, Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis, was born and raised in Troy, Ohio, about a half hour from Springfield.
“Look at what’s happening across this country,” DeSantis said. “You look at what’s happening in Ohio where they brought in all these illegal immigrants from Haiti. They have like tens of thousands in one little town in Ohio. It’s just overwhelming all the services.”
DeSantis said that Vice President Kamala Harris had to answer for the crisis in Springfield.
“So, you’ve had a massive open border and deliberately bringing people in and dropping them in certain communities,” DeSantis continued. “Which you just can’t handle that type of influx. So, there’s a lot to answer for, I think. It will be interesting to see how Kamala answers this in the debate. It’s just indefensible having been the ‘Border Czar’ and then all of a sudden you have this massive influx. It’s not just people from Mexico. You’ve got people from the Middle East. You’ve got people from China. You’ve got people from all around the globe going across the southern border.”
Every state has become a border state
Major cities like New York, Chicago, and Denver have struggled to manage the influx of illegal aliens during the Biden-Harris border crisis.
Illegal immigration is crushing smaller cities like Springfield across the country that usually do not generate headlines.
Springfield Mayor Rob Rue warned about what the influx of Haitians was doing to his city during an appearance on Fox & Friends First in July.
“This border crisis, the policy of this administration, is failing cities like ours and taxing us beyond our limit,” Rue said. “This has overwhelmed safety services and caused great concern for our community.”
Springfield City Manager Bryan Heck warned the city is at the breaking point from illegal immigration.
“It’s setting communities like Springfield up to fail,” Heck said. “And, we do not have the capacity to sustain it, and, without additional federal assistance or support, communities like Springfield will fail.”
Communities are increasingly being forced to suffer from the Biden-Harris border crisis.
