U.S. Senators want second Trump assassination attempt investigation led by Ron DeSantis

Sep 17, 2024

Donald Trump just survived a second assassination attempt to end both his campaign and his life.

And the deep state wants you to remain calm knowing the FBI is on the case.

But now at least one U.S. Senator wants Ron DeSantis, not the FBI, to be charged with leading the investigation into the latest life-threatening attack against former President Trump.

A second attempted assassin just tried to kill Donald Trump

Teflon Don Trump can no longer even enjoy 18 holes of golf without worrying that an unhinged leftist will attempt to kill him.

On Sunday afternoon, the 45th President of the United States hit the links in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Fox News is reporting Ryan Wesley Routh set up a sniper station complete with a rifle and scope in the woods of the golf course, a mere 300-500 yards from the GOP nominee for the White House.

According to Fox News Routh pushed the muzzle of the rifle through the chain link in the surrounding fencing.

Secret Service spotted the attempted assassin and fired.

According to the report, Routh initially escaped, but authorities were able to apprehend the sniper and arrest him.

Meanwhile, Trump was escorted to safety in the clubhouse.

Considering the failures in the Department of Justice and FBI’s investigation of the first assassination on Donald Trump just two months ago, and given this alleged attempted assassin is still alive and in custody in Florida, many are calling for the state’s Governor, Republican Ron DeSantis to take the lead in this new investigation.

DOJ & FBI not in any position to investigate assassination attempt

Podcaster and author, Erik D. Prince, was perhaps the first to suggest Governor DeSantis and the state of Florida should head up the investigation.

“Governor Ron DeSantis, please assume direct control of the investigation into this attempted assassination of DJT,” Prince tweeted. “Tell the Feds to wait in line until Florida resources have done a thorough and transparent look into all the evidence. The Feds have dropped the ball thoroughly on Butler, PA. Time for Florida to save the day especially since this attempt happened only 300 miles from the State Forensics Lab.”

If DeSantis does position the Sunshine State to lead the charge, it would likely be the state’s very capable Republican Attorney General, Ashley Moody running the investigation.

And America First Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) agrees he trusts DeSantis and Moody more than the Biden-Harris DOJ to get to the bottom of the second attempt to end the life of Trump.

“Don’t trust the feds,” Senator Lee tweeted. “Florida should investigate.”

Lee’s call for Florida to investigate instead of the FBI was echoed by hundreds in just the first couple hours of his post.

The Biden-Harris DOJ and FBI have alienated all trust from virtually half the country.

And with multiple attempts on the life of a man who is one of the two major parties’ nominees to be the President, these investigations are too important to put in the hands of the same people who have engaged in lawfare against him.
