A trip to Disney is supposed to be a highlight of the year for a family.
It became a nightmare in an instant.
A mom was arrested at Disney after she made one really bad decision.
Mom was arrested trying to get kids into Disneyland
The price of a trip to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California costs inflation-weary families an arm and a leg.
A kid’s ticket to Disneyland can cost more than $250 for a one-day pass.
One mother thought she found a creative way to save on tickets to the theme park.
Jessenia Diaz, a 26-year-old, bought a valid Disney park pass for herself and then tried to pass off her two kids as under the age of three.
Disney lets kids under the age of three get into their parks for free if they are accompanied by an adult with a valid pass.
The happiest place on earth was not so happy when she was arrested for trying to sneak her kids into the park.
Diaz blew past the ticket collectors without answering how old her kids were.
A video went viral on social media of her being dragged out of the park by Anaheim police while her kids sobbed and screamed for help.

“She came in on a valid pass and brought her two kids,” Anaheim police Sergeant Matt Sutter told Fox News Digital. “When security tried to question her about her kids’ age, she just kept walking and didn’t stop. They caught up with her later inside the park.”
Diaz got belligerent with park officials and the police after she was confronted about her children’s age.
Sutter said that Disney tried to work something out with her to let her stay in the park.
“What Disney will do, they’ll work with you. They’ll try to come up with a solution,” Sutter explained. “They want their guests to stay in the park and enjoy their day. But she wasn’t having any of that.”
He noted that Diaz did not have to be escorted out of the park in handcuffs.
“If she had cooperated, had behaved better, she would have never gotten arrested,” Sutter said.
This was the fourth time in the last two months that Diaz tried to sneak her kids into the park.
“This was the first time she got caught,” Sutter stated. “She’ll disappear into the park with her kids and they can’t find her.”
Diaz received a ticket and was released later that day.
Mom threatens to sue Disney after arrest
The single mother disputed the account of her arrest that Disney and the Anaheim Police told.
She posted a video on the Chinese social media app TikTok where she gave her side of the story.
“I’ll post the truth I recorded the reason everything posted is full of lies,” Diaz ranted.
Diaz said she would soon give her side of the incident.
“The worst way to end the month, thankfully my daughters are safe. I would die if anything ever happened to them,” Diaz said of a video of her two kids riding a carousel at Disney.
Los Angeles television station KTLA reported that she is going to file a lawsuit against Disney for the arrest.
The magic disappears quickly at Disney after an arrest.
