But not everyone is buying what she is selling. 

And a Miami Dolphins star’s wife had one message for Kamala Harris that left her fuming. 

Kamala Harris inserts herself into Florida’s emergency response to the hurricane 

Vice President Kamala Harris is a political opportunist if nothing else. 

The Biden-Harris administration was slammed for its slow response and bad optics in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene which ripped through six states in the southeast. 

Hurricane Milton appeared that it could be even more devastating when it was in the Gulf of Mexico barreling toward Florida. 

Kamala tried to call Florida Governor Ron DeSantis while he was knee-deep preparing his state’s emergency response to Milton. 

DeSantis never answered the call from her. 

Kamala accused the Florida Governor of “playing political games” during a hurricane. 

“People are in desperate need of support right now and playing political games with this moment, in these crisis situations, these are the height of emergency situations, it’s just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish,” Harris told reporters.

Devon Mostert, the wife of Miami Dolphins star running back Raheem Mostert, took a shot at Kamala on Instagram for attacking DeSantis. 

She played a clip of President Joe Biden praising the Florida Governor for doing a “great job” of managing the hurricanes on her Instagram stories.

“In case you missed it, Kam Kam went on a media rant yesterday about how selfish and utterly responsible DeSantis is. The math ain’t mathing, sis,” Mostert wrote. “They’re sinking their own ship.”

She later shared a post about former President Donald Trump letting nearly 300 power line workers stay at his resort in Doral, Florida during the hurricane. 

“No one has time, Kamala – especially for her to say some [B.S.] like, ‘We can be unburdened by what has been,’” Mostert later added.

Kamala thought she could use Hurricane Milton to make herself Presidential. 

And when that backfired, she tried to pick a fight with DeSantis.

Biden was asked about the sparring between Kamala and DeSantis. 

“All I can tell you is I’ve talked to Governor DeSantis,” Biden said. “He’s been very gracious. He thanked me for all we’ve done. He knows what we’re doing, and I think that’s important.”

DeSantis pointed out that Kamala has no role in federal disaster relief and that she has never attempted to contact him before a storm. 

“I am working with the president of the United States,” DeSantis said. “I’m working with the director of FEMA. We’ve been doing this now nonstop for over two weeks.”

“Although I’ve worked well with the President, she has never called Florida. She has never offered any support,” DeSantis added. “I don’t have time for those games. I don’t care about her campaign. Obviously, I’m not a supporter of hers, but she’s not, she has no role in this process. And so, I’m working with the people I need to be working with.”
