Journalists are thinly disguised Democrat operatives masquerading as members of the press.
They are constantly trying to get conservatives with gotcha questions.
And a reporter was destroyed for asking Ron DeSantis one sick question about the hurricane.
Reporter gets wrecked over climate change question to Ron DeSantis
Florida was hit by two major hurricanes in two weeks this season that killed dozens and did tens of billions of dollars worth of damage to the state.
Any extreme weather event in the country is politicized by the Left to promote climate change.
They baselessly claim that hurricanes are becoming more powerful and occurring more often because of climate change.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was asked if he would use the words “climate change” in connection with the devastation that Hurricanes Helene and Milton caused to the state.
“The chance of me virtue signaling for people in the media is zero, so do not count on that,” DeSantis said at a press conference for hurricane recovery. “I don’t subscribe to your religion, and it’s just a tired refrain and song and dance.”
DeSantis called out the reporter for trying to push a political agenda.
“I get you have an agenda – I understand that,” DeSantis stated. “I think you should be more honest about what that would mean for people, taxing them to smithereens, stopping oil and gas, making people pay dramatically more for energy.”
DeSantis schools a reporter on the consequences of climate change agenda
The Florida Governor said that the country would collapse from putting climate change in the driver’s seat for making policy.
“In Florida, our energy is going to be affordable and reliable, that’s what you’re going to do,” DeSantis explained. “That’s the only way you can adequately respond to things like we just saw with the storms, to get people hooked back up.”
He pointed out that hurricanes have been a fact of life in Florida for the state’s entire existence.
“I just think people should put this in perspective,” DeSantis said. “They try to take different things that happen with tropical weather and act like it’s something. There’s nothing new under the sun. You know, this is something that the state has dealt with for its entire history and it’s something that we will continue to deal with.”
The Left claims that climate change is making hurricanes deadlier, but DeSantis has dismantled this bogus talking point in the past.
Hurricanes in the early 20th century were the worst that Florida ever faced.
The Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 killed more than 400 people and had a record wind speed of more than 183 miles per hour.
Hurricane Okeechobee in 1928 was the deadliest storm in Florida’s history after it killed nearly 3,000 people.
The Left has been trying to needle DeSantis over climate change after he signed a law this year to remove climate change policies from state law.
“The legislation I signed today [will] keep windmills off our beaches, gas in our tanks, and China out of our state,” DeSantis said at the time. “We’re restoring sanity in our approach to energy and rejecting the agenda of the radical green zealots.”
Ron DeSantis is not letting the Left try to politicize the weather in Florida.
