Florida sheriff takes down massive human trafficking involving illegal aliens
Millions of illegal aliens crossing the southern border every year under the Biden-Harris administration have led to an explosion in human trafficking.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ failure as the “Border Czar” has let human traffickers exploit vulnerable women and children.
A sting in Polk County, Florida led to the arrest of more than 150 people including 25 illegal aliens involved in a prostitution ring.
Four potential human trafficking victims were rescued during the operation.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said his office worked with law enforcement from Marion County, Lake County, Auburndale, Clermont, Davenport, Winter Haven, Lakeland, and Tampa on “Operation Autumn Sweep.”
The five-day human trafficking sting resulted in 157 arrests ranging from crimes like prostitution to traveling to sexually assault a minor.
“The approach of Hurricane Milton caused us to end our investigation earlier than planned, but it’s still amazing that in such a short amount of time, we were able to put 157 people in jail, and three child predators,” Judd said.
Charges ranging from 35 felonies and 201 misdemeanors were handed out to the 157 people arrested in the sweep.
Illegal aliens involved in heinous crimes
The 25 illegal aliens who were arrested in Operation Autumn Sweep came from countries like Cuba, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Venezuela.
Judd pointed out it was a failure of the federal government that these criminals were in the country in the first place.
“Sixteen percent of these total arrests were people who should not even have been in this country,” Judd said. “But they were here, and they were here because we have a federal government that enabled these criminals to come into the country, and they treated them very well after the criminals came here illegally.”
Judd recounted the story of a female illegal alien arrested.
She flew from her native Venezuela to Mexico with her child and walked across the southern border.
The women crossed the southern border at El Paso, Texas where the Border Patrol welcomed her into the United States.
“There is no border security at the southern border. Zero. It doesn’t exist,” Judd explained.
Judd stated that the woman was placed in housing for illegal aliens after she went through processing.
The Venezuelan illegal alien was informed of the variety of services and benefits available to her now that she was in the United States.
She was told that she was eligible for American taxpayer-provided healthcare and food stamps.
The woman got a free trip from Texas to Chicago but was not able to find work there.
She then got a free flight from Chicago to Florida to try her luck there.
“She was given free housing, all because the United States paid for that. That’s right. Use the taxpayers,” Judd explained. “This was not a stealthful act, and they gave her free travel, free housing, free food, free medical care. All while people from the hurricane are still waiting for help.”
Two of the women who were suspected of being human trafficking victims admitted to paying a human smuggler $6,000 a piece to make it across the southern border.
“Make no mistake about it, the government is complicit and is aiding and abetting human trafficking in the United States,” Judd said. “In addition to that, there is a wide-open border where fentanyl is coming across, and that is encouraged, and as a result of that, we have thousands upon thousands of people dying in the United States. And then the best that our federal politicians can say was, ‘well, it didn’t kill as many people this year as last year.’”
