Taylor Swift was greeted with one sign before her Miami concert that left her fuming

Oct 25, 2024

Pop star Taylor Swift is wrapping up her record-breaking Eras Tour.

She is used to being showered with praise in every town she goes.

But Taylor Swift was greeted with one sign before her Miami concert that left her fuming.

Trump supporters welcome Taylor Swift for her concert

Pop star Taylor Swift headed to Miami Gardens, Florida for three sold-out dates on her Eras Tour at Hard Rock Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and college football’s Miami Hurricanes.

She endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for President shortly after the September 10 Presidential debate on social media.

Swift took a shot at U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) in her endorsement by signing it “Childless Cat Lady” and included a picture of herself holding her cat Benjamin Button.

Democrats and their media allies dug up an old clip of Vance from 2021 on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show where he mockingly called Democrats like Kamala childless cat ladies in a critique of the Left’s anti-family policies.

A supporter of former President Donald Trump decided to have a little fun before Swift’s second concert at Hard Rock Stadium.

Someone had a plane fly over the stadium with a banner that said “Trump 2024 – Ready For It, Cat Lady? MAGA!”

“…Ready for It?” is a song from Swift’s 2017 album Redemption.

Florida Democrats try to capitalize on Taylor Swift’s Miami concerts

Swift is one of the biggest celebrities in the country and Democrats hoped her endorsement would give Kamala a big boost.

But the Vice President has only slipped in the polls after the Presidential debate and the Swift endorsement against Trump.

Florida Democrats hoped that they could take advantage of Swift’s three sold-out concerts in Miami Gardens.

Swift didn’t make any political statements during her concerts, but the Florida Democratic Party tried to use the massive attendance inside and outside of Hard Rock Stadium to do political organizing.

Harris-Walz campaign Florida communications director Karol Molinares stood by a sky bridge that led to the stadium to do some campaigning.

“Early voting starts Monday, vote for Kamala Harris!” Molinares yelled at Swift fans passing by.

She tried to hand out posters that said “Take Back Florida Era,” a play on Swift’s current tour.

“Nope, we’re voting for Trump, baby!” a woman in a group told her.

“That’s not going to happen,” a man said.

“I’m here for Taylor Swift, not politics,” another woman said.

The Democratic National Committee placed billboards around Miami that said “In My Kamala Era” ahead of Swift’s concerts.

Florida Democrats do not have much to get excited about these days after watching the Sunshine State become increasingly Republican.

“I’ve been planning for this all year,” Florida Democratic Party communications director Eden Giagnorio said.

Florida Democrats held a Taylor Swift-themed voter outreach earlier in the day to recruit her fans to become volunteers.

The enthusiasm from Swift fans does not look like it’s going to translate into anything meaningful for them.

Trump is expected to cruise to victory in the state again and U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) is expected to easily win his race.
