Forces are aligning in Washington, D.C. to thwart Donald Trump.
He has to have his head on a swivel.
And Donald Trump got a dire warning about the Deep State from a Florida man.
The Deep State will try to slow down Donald Trump’s agenda
President-elect Donald Trump is heading back to the White House after a historic victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
He only has four years to implement his agenda, so he has no time to waste.
Trump’s first term in office was hampered by the Russian collusion hoax and interference from the Deep State.
This term he will have a majority in the Senate and a likely razor-thin majority in the House to work with for at least his first two years.
Representative Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) warned that Trump would have to go to war with the Deep State to enact his agenda during an appearance on the Fox Business show Mornings with Maria.
Diaz-Balart said the President-elect needs the right mix of staff to help him succeed.
“It is going to be very important that the President have the right people in the right places,” Diaz-Balart explained. “It has to be a combination of experienced people who understand the ‘Swamp,’ understand D.C., and understand how to fight it, and then obviously some new blood to get those good new ideas. It is going to be a combination of both that gets it done.”
Trump admitted that bad staff hurt him during his first term in office on comedian Joe Rogan’s podcast.
“The biggest mistake I made was I picked some people, I picked some great people, you know, but you don’t think about that,” Trump said. “I picked some people that I shouldn’t have picked. I picked a few people that I shouldn’t have picked.”
He noted that some of the people he hired were disloyal.
Preparing to do battle with the Deep State
Diaz-Balart predicted that the Deep State would fight tooth and nail to stymie the Trump agenda.
“But this is going to be a battle, and the ‘Swamp,’ the administrative state, the Deep State, whatever you want to call it, the ingrained bureaucracy, is going to do everything in its power, everything to stop this agenda,” Diaz-Balart said. “But we have an opportunity, a historic opportunity.”
The Florida lawmaker predicted that Congress would be ready with an aggressive agenda right off the bat.
“We know that we have limited time, by the way, to do it,” Diaz-Balart stated. “So, if we control everything, that is why we have a very aggressive agenda. It is not going to take 100 days. We want to do it earlier than that to get this country righted and to fight this insanity that we are seeing in the media and is, by the way, also supported by the bureaucracy in Washington, D.C.”
He predicted that the top two priorities would be border security and unleashing American energy production.
“We have to stop and reverse these crazy regulations of the Biden-Harris Administration, and we have to make permanent the Trump tax cuts,” Diaz-Balart added. “If that does not happen, we are looking at a massive tax increase. So, our agenda is aggressive. We know we have to get it done. We have the right leadership in place.”
It could be a fast start to the second Trump administration since the President-elect has no time to waste until the mid-term elections.
