Lara Trump just hit Ron DeSantis with one suggestion that Chuck Schumer will hate

Nov 19, 2024

Lara Trump took over as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee in March.

She played an instrumental role in turning the Republican Party into a political machine that helped her father-in-law win a landslide victory.

But now Lara Trump just hit Ron DeSantis with one suggestion that Chuck Schumer will hate.

Democrats and the left-wing media were already in a frenzy over Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Kamala Harris where he carried all seven swing states and won the popular vote.

But the Left flew into a rage when Donald Trump started announcing his cabinet nominations and filling positions for his administration.

Trump selected longtime campaign operative Susie Wiles to be his Chief of Staff, Sergio Gor as his Personnel Office head, and Dan Scavino as his Deputy Chief of Staff.

He made Anthony Fauci’s worst nightmare come true on Thursday when he announced Robert Kennedy Jr. as his Health and Human Services Secretary.

“For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!”

Some of Trump’s picks currently serve in Congress.

Trump selected Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz as his Attorney General and Senator Marco Rubio as his Secretary of State.

Of course, these nominations still must be confirmed by the Senate.

But if Marco Rubio is confirmed, then Governor Ron DeSantis will be tasked with selecting someone to serve in the seat through 2028.

Political operatives in Florida have already started suggesting potential replacements for Rubio, including Attorney General Ashley Moody, Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, and Casey DeSantis.

But the seat could end up being filled by Senator Trump.

That is because Eric and Lara Trump both live in Florida with their two young children.

Lara Trump is currently the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, but she expressed her interest in the Senate seat on Thursday in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News.

“This is my home state now and has been for three years, this is where Eric and I live and truly to have that opportunity, I think would be incredible, and no one knows better than I do the America First agenda or the goals of Donald Trump and the coming four years,” Lara Trump said. “So, if I am asked, I would love to consider it, but I have yet to have a conversation with Governor DeSantis, so we will have to see.”

“If I am able to serve, I would love to serve the people of Florida,’ she added.

Lara Trump has support behind her from members of the Senate.

Florida Senator Rick Scott said, “I hope that’s exactly who [Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis picks.”

“I’ve known her for a long time, actually knew her before I met Eric Trump,” Scott told Axios.

He said Trump “did a great job with the RNC,” before adding that “she’s a great spokesperson” and “she’s conservative.”

Lindsey Graham even supports Lara Trump as Rubio’s replacement.

“I would love to have her as a colleague,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Wednesday.

Of course, it all depends on whether the Senate confirms Rubio and if DeSantis selects Lara Trump.

But if Rubio is confirmed, there is a good chance America will have a Senator Trump in Washington, D.C.
