Governor Gavin Newsom’s failed policies have caused California to go up in flames, literally.
But the liberal media loves to protect their own and blame conservatives for everything.
And now Ron DeSantis just ripped left-wing media reporters for their latest outrageous accusation against Donald Trump.
Gavin Newsom caused California to burn
Los Angeles firefighters are stretched to the max.
Their budget was cut by $17.6 million from the previous year, ABC News reported.
And after the fire hydrants stopped producing water, residents were stunned as their houses burned to the ground and L.A. firefighters were powerless to stop it.
Trump was quick to criticize Newsom for how his failed policies enabled the chaos L.A. firefighters are now dealing with.
“Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow, melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way. He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt, by giving it less water (it didn’t work!), but didn’t care about the people of California.” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump continued. “Now the ultimate price is being paid. I will demand that this incompetent governor allow beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA! He is the blame for this. On top of it all, no water for fire hydrants, not firefighting planes. A true disaster!”
Of course, Newsom denied any wrongdoing.
Like a typical liberal, Newsom tried to shift the blame and wrote on X “I am calling for an independent investigation into the loss of water pressure to local fire hydrants and the reported unavailability of water supplies from the Santa Ynez Reservoir.”
“We need answers to ensure this does not happen again and we have every resource available to fight these catastrophic fires,” Newsom continued.
But instead of focusing on Newsom’s failed leadership, the media went after Trump’s post on Truth Social.
The media blames Donald Trump
Donald Trump is not the Governor of California, he is not even President of the United States yet.
But instead of admitting Newsom’s failed leftist policies harmed California the liberal media blames Trump.
Typical.
Liberals love to turn a blind eye to their “own” people while railing against conservatives.
Even conservatives like Ron DeSantis who properly managed the hurricanes in Florida get blasted by liberal talking pundits.
But when one leftist reporter attempted to take the heat off Newsom and blame Trump for the handling of the fires in California, DeSantis ripped them a new one.
“Is it appropriate for a president-elect or a president to be criticizing . . . ,” the reporter started hoping to slam Trump.
But DeSantis would not even let her finish.
He interrupted her and fired back “Is it appropriate for people in your industry to try to create division and to try to create narratives anytime these things happen?”
DeSantis continued “Now you’re not as interested in doing that because Newsom is a D. If Newsom was a Republican, you guys would go try to… you would have him nailed to the wall for what they are doing over there.”
Nailed it.
Newsom’s failed policies have destroyed over 12,300 structures and killed 24 people so far.
Yet somehow Donald Trump is to blame for calling him out.
Hold their feet to the fire
Liberal politicians have destroyed American cities.
Donald Trump getting back into the White House is a good start to begin to undo some of the chaos caused by Biden.
But radical governors like Newsom are still in office, and their failed policies will continue to wreak havoc into the lives on their constituencies.
Now more than ever, conservatives must continue to hold politicians’ feet to the fire and not let them get a free pass on hiding from the consequences of bad governance.
