FEMA is taking fire for the agency’s response to the recent hurricanes.
White House officials are trying to do damage control.
And a Florida lawmaker dismantled this big lie from the White House about FEMA.
FEMA’s illegal alien scheme backfires after recent disasters
Florida was dealt a devastating one-two punch of hurricanes to the state’s Gulf Coast.
Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region and created a record storm surge up and down the Gulf Coast.
Almost two weeks later, Hurricane Milton slammed into Siesta Key, Florida in the Sarasota area.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is supposed to help Americans with recovery from a natural disaster.
But Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas warned that FEMA would run out of money after Helene.
The Biden-Harris administration has used FEMA to facilitate its open borders agenda.
FEMA has spent more than $1 billion on transporting and housing illegal aliens.
This is terrible optics after Hurricane Helene became the deadliest storm to strike the country since Hurricane Katrina.
Democrats and their media allies began to claim it was misinformation that FEMA spent money on illegal aliens.
They claimed that money came from a different bucket which did not have anything to do with disaster relief.
This phony narrative is being pushed to protect Vice President Kamala Harris from taking a political hit over the fallout from the hurricanes.
The big lie about FEMA’s illegal scheme dismantled
Representative Greg Steube’s (R-FL) House district contains the Sarasota area which Hurricane Milton slammed making landfall.
He told Newsmax’s Wake Up America that it is an “outright lie” that illegal aliens did not cause FEMA to run out of money.
“This administration cares more about illegal immigrants in our country than they do American citizens who have been hit by a natural disaster,” Steube said.
Steube said the White House was lying and trying to do damage control by calling FEMA criticism misinformation.
“They moved money from FEMA, and they used the money to house illegal immigrants and now Secretary Mayorkas himself is saying they don’t have money to fund FEMA,” Steube explained.
He thought that the damage from Hurricane Milton to his House District could end up being more than $1 billion.
“There’s going to be individual assistance, FEMA claims,” Steube stated. “If the money is not there, then Congress has to reappropriate it because this administration moved money around and paid and housed illegal immigrants, which I believe is completely anti-American.”
The Biden-Harris administration’s decision to use FEMA to funnel money to illegal aliens finally caught up with them.
“We have Americans that are hurting and have gotten crushed by Helene and now Milton, and now they’re trying to backtrack and say it’s disinformation,” Steube declared. “It’s a complete and outright lie.”
Americans are hurting in Florida and the southeastern U.S. after getting hit with two devastating hurricanes in short order.
The White House is more interested in doing damage control to protect Kamala Harris’ Presidential campaign than helping American citizens in their hour of need after a disaster.
