Matt Gaetz introduces a law to allow victims of crimes by illegal aliens to receive compensation
More than 11 million illegal aliens have entered the country since President Joe Biden took office.
The massive uptick in illegal immigration has led to a spike in crime around the country as hardened criminals, gang members, and terrorists cross the southern border.
Former President Donald Trump warned about the surge in crime from illegal aliens at a campaign rally in North Carolina.
“They all said I was wrong when I said that migrant crime will reach epidemic proportions, and now it’s much worse than that,” Trump said. “It’s a lot worse than epidemic proportions. It’s beyond control. We have a new category of crime. It’s called migrant crime, and I think it’s gonna end up being the worst category of all.”
The rise in the number of illegal aliens is leading to more victims of crimes committed by them.
That is why Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) introduced a bill that would allow victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens to receive restitution.
The Allocating Liability to Illegal Entrants in National Courts (ALIEN) Act would amend the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act, the main federal law covering immigration.
Federal judges would be able to award restitution for injuries or property damages if the law passed.
“The Biden-Harris administration has let in millions of illegals and created a migrant crime epidemic,” Gaetz said in a statement. “My legislation, the ALIEN Act, will give federal judges the ability to award restitution to Americans who are victims of harm to person or property from illegals. Americans deserve the possibility of compensation for the pain they endured.”
High-profile crimes by illegal aliens rock the country
The number of high-profile crimes by illegal aliens has been on the rise under the Biden-Harris administration.
Georgia nursing student Laken Riley was killed by an illegal alien who was released by Biden’s illegal parole program after he crossed the southern border.
Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old from Houston, Texas was murdered by two illegal aliens from Venezuela in June.
Tragedies like this are becoming far too common.
Former National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd warned that things could get even worse with Vice President Kamala Harris in the White House.
“This is going to get worse under a Kamala-Walz administration,” Judd said. “They’ve already made the decision that they care more about their base of support than the safety and security of the American people and that’s why we are seeing this crisis. It angers every single Border Patrol agent.”
Customs and Border Protection found that the number of illegal aliens trying to enter the country with a criminal record has been on the rise.
A wide-open southern border is an invitation for criminals to stroll into the country.
