A fight between a husband and a wife is a tale as old as time.

Recently, one argument went completely off the rails.

And a Florida man ended a fight with his wife with one sick move that will land him in jail.

Florida woman killed with a mob-style exploding car

Noel Ruiz Mestre, a 50-year-old, got into a knock-down, drag-out with his wife in Hialeah Gardens, Florida, a suburb of Miami.

The couple were arguing in a car parked in the driveway of their home.

Mestre left the car and what happened next was like something out of a mob video.

Doorbell footage recorded an explosion after police alleged that Mestre had a homemade bomb blow up the car while his wife was still in.

The massive explosion happened at 6:00 am and woke neighbors from their sleep.

Neighbor Miguel Hernandez was startled by the fiery explosion near his home.

“I get up, and I was like, what’s happening? Because the explosion was too, too, too loud,” Hernandez told NBC 6 News. “We called the police. We called the firemen.”

Hernandez did not realize that anyone was in the car.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and discovered that a woman was burned to death beyond recognition in the car’s front seat.

Neighbor Jose Rodriguez said he went outside to discover chaos after the blast.

“Well, I heard a loud boom,” Rodriguez said. “The neighbors, about 20 or 30 seconds later, come out, and then I heard the police sirens approaching. One of the neighbors came by and said that there was a woman that had gotten burned.”

Husband fakes injuries from his fight with his wife

The authorities claim Mestre went inside his home after blowing up his wife and stabbed himself with a knife to make it seem like she turned violent.

He changed his clothes, fled the scene of the crime, and later called 911 to get medical help for his injuries.

Investigators determined that a homemade bomb was used, and they were dealing with a murder.

Mestre was taken to the hospital, where he was in critical condition from his self-inflicted stab wounds and burns from the explosion that he allegedly set off.

Hernandez was shocked about Mestre’s wife, who remains unidentified, being in the car.

“She was a real nice person. She always says, hello, how are you, happy Christmas, happy Halloween,” Hernandez recalled.

The arrest report said that Mestre’s wife was in the passenger seat of the car and tried to get out of it before the vehicle exploded.

Hernandez thought there was something off with Mestre during his encounters with him.

“The guy was a little more quiet, you know,” Hernandez stated. “He usually take a chair and sit in front of the house. He do nothing, I don’t know, he was really strange.”

Mestre is still in a local hospital recovering from his stab wounds and burns.

As soon as he recovers, he is going to be taken straight to jail.

The Florida man was charged with second-degree murder and arson.

What Mestre used to create a bomb and why his wife was not able to escape the vehicle were not explained in the police report of the incident.
