A Florida woman committed one sick crime at the airport that left police horrified

Air travel has become more of a hassle than ever.

One woman took out her frustrations in the worst way possible.

And a Florida woman committed one sick crime at the airport that left police horrified.

Florida woman arrested after drowning her dog in airport bathroom

A Florida woman was arrested for allegedly drowning her dog in the bathroom of the Orlando International Airport.

Alison Agatha Lawrence tried to bring her 9-year-old schnauzer named Tywinn with her onto a fight.

She did not have the proper paperwork for the dog to travel to the country of Colombia, so gate agents told her she could not bring the pooch.

A janitor spotted Lawrence taking the dog into a bathroom stall and cleaning food and water off the floor.

The janitor came back 20 minutes later to clean up the bathroom that she had taken the dog into.

She found the dead dog in a trash can in the bathroom with a collar with Lawrence’s name and phone number, and a travel bag for the dog.

The airport’s security footage showed her entering the bathroom with the dog and leaving it 20 minutes later without it before she boarded her flight.

Authorities used the dog’s microchip to determine its owner and ruled that the innocent pooch was drowned.

The Orlando Police Department arrested Lawrence on charges of aggravated animal cruelty.

“After Alison Agatha Lawrence was denied boarding of the dog due to improper paperwork, Alison Agatha Lawrence is believed to have taken extreme and tragic action by killing the dog,” Orlando Police said in an affidavit.

Florida lawmaker pushes for new animal cruelty bill

A dog named Trooper made national headlines last fall after he was tied up to drown on the side of the highway in Tampa, Florida, after his owner abandoned him during the evacuation from Hurricane Milton.

Florida State Senator Tom Leek (R-Ormond Beach) introduced a bill that is making its way through the State Legislature to increase the penalties for animal cruelty.

“This is yet another horrible example of why I filed Senate Bill 502: (Animal Cruelty Offences) related to animal cruelty, which strengthens criminal penalties for those who do harm to innocent animals,” Leek said about the tragedy at the Orlando Airport.

“It is my commitment to have this good bill pass the Florida Senate and the Florida House of Representatives and sent to Governor Ron DeSantis for his signature,” Leek added.

The bill would increase the penalty for animal cruelty by multiplying a criminal’s sentencing points by 1.25 against common household pets.

Florida State Representative Linda Cheney (R-St. Pete Beach) sponsored the companion bill in the House.

“Abuse against helpless animals is one of the most heinous acts that can be committed, and punishment for a perpetrator should be swift and severe,” Leek said. “I am proud to continue my work in addressing animal cruelty in the state of Florida by strengthening penalties for those who prey upon domestic animals.”

Sick criminals preying on helpless animals will get the hammer dropped on them if the Senator’s bill passes this session.
