A Florida woman noticed one scary problem with the Secret Service

The public is still searching for answers after the shooting of Donald Trump.

But the Secret Service is trying to keep the truth buried.

And a Florida woman noticed one scary problem with the Secret Service.

Trump’s Butler rally contained numerous glaring security failures

It has been almost two months since former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated at a campaign rally in Bulter, Pennsylvania.

The American people are still searching for answers about how the Secret Service could have allowed a gunman to get a clear line of sight on Trump from the top of an unsecured building 130 yards away.

Multiple investigations have been launched to figure out what went wrong that day.

Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) appeared on Fox News to reveal what she learned from visiting the site in Butler where the rally was held.

Lee is one of the members of the House task force set up by Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) to investigate the Trump shooting.

“One of the really key things about going to the site and seeing it is that you get the sense of exactly how small it is,” Lee explained. “This is not a large area. It’s very rural. Even as a layperson, it’s clear what the buildings are, what’s in the area, and what needs to be secured. So, it really underscores just how inexplicable this catastrophic security failure was that this was allowed to happen.”

A catastrophic breakdown in communications

The Secret Service failed to communicate with local enforcement in Butler who was helping them secure the Trump rally.

Lee said that one of the lessons of the House task force’s investigation is the need for improved communications.

“The other thing that is clear is that there were serious communication and coordination problems,” Lee said. “State and local law enforcement are a big part of securing a site like this, of securing a rally. But it is evident from the investigation that we’ve been conducting already that there was a lack of communication and a lack of coordination.”

A SWAT team member working the rally revealed that he did not speak to the Secret Service until after Trump was shot that day.

“So, one of the things we want to be sure we do is understand how that fell apart because that’s a key element to ensuring that this doesn’t happen for future rallies, while these protectives are still out on the trail,” Lee added.

Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) is leading a parallel investigation into the Trump shooting with a group of House Republicans.

He said the Secret Service suffered from a broken institutional culture that placed a bigger emphasis on diversity than its mission.

“Look, this is a culture of a fostered DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion] society, whereby they are not trying to send their best,” Mills said. “I went through a plethora of lists since 2023 to 2024 of all of the failed and missed steps that have been taken by the Secret Service. So, I can tell you it is a cultural issue. It is DEI at heart, but this is either criminal gross negligence or purposeful intent, and that is what we are set out to actually find.”

The Secret Service needs to be revamped after the numerous problems revealed about the embattled agency.
