Donald Trump is ready to take off the gloves in his second term.
He is willing to do things that other politicians are too scared to do.
And a Fox host was shocked over this military order being given by Donald Trump.
Donald Trump designates the cartels as terrorist organizations
President Donald Trump rolled up his sleeves and went to work after he was sworn in.
He issued an executive order on his first day in office that designated the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
The cartels are raking in billions of dollars a year trafficking deadly drugs like fentanyl and smuggling illegal aliens across the southern border.
Trump said in a 2023 policy video that he would “make appropriate use of Special Forces, cyber warfare, and other overt and covert actions to inflict maximum damage on cartel leadership, infrastructure, and operations.”
Designating the cartels was seen as a possible first step toward taking military action against them.
Trump hinted that it was on the table when a reporter asked if the Special Forces could be sent into Mexico to take them out.
“Could happen,” Trump said. “Stranger things have happened.”
Fox Business host horrified at the idea of the military wiping out the cartels
Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) said that he was “really glad” that Trump designated the cartels as terrorist organizations during an appearance on Fox Business’ Varney & Co.
“Let’s go after them and wipe them off the face of the earth,” Gimenez said.
Fox Business host Stuart Varney was shocked at what Gimenez suggested.
“What do you mean by that? Let’s go after them. Attack them inside Mexico?” Varney asked. “Is that what you’re saying?”
Gimenez was ready to give the Mexican government an ultimatum.
“Yeah. Well, that’s what I’m saying,” Gimenez replied. “Look, I would give Mexico two weeks to do the job and they can’t do the job. And we’ve got to do the job.”
“We’ve got to protect American citizens,” Gimenez continued. “Stuart, they’ve been killing hundreds of thousands of Americans and they do it knowingly. Okay. Poisoning us. And so, yeah, we need to go get them and we need to wipe them off the face of the earth.”
The Mexican government has balked at the idea of American troops operating inside their country.
Varney was flabbergasted by the idea of American troops wiping out the cartels.
“I wonder if America is ready for that kind of, I’m going to call it radical change?” Varney wondered.
“Well, listen, we went to war for 15 years when Al Qaida killed 3,000 Americans,” Gimenez explained. “These Mexican cartels are killing hundreds of times more than that. And they’re right across the border. And so, yeah, we need to go get them and wipe them off the face of the earth.”
Gimenez noted that the cartels manufacture fentanyl from chemical precursors purchased from China.
“We’ve got every single family, every everybody knows of somebody that has been killed by these cartels,” Gimenez stated. “And by the way, they’re aided by communist China who actually creates the chemicals, that creates the drugs that kills Americans.”
Donald Trump is ready to take dramatic action to stop the scourge of the cartels.
