A Green Beret had one message for Donald Trump to end this scary war

The clock is ticking on Joe Biden’s time in the White House.

He is leaving a gigantic mess behind for the country to clean up.

And a Green Beret had one message for Donald Trump to end this scary war.

Using the military to crush the Mexican drug cartels

The border crisis during the Biden-Harris administration has been a bonanza for the Mexican drug cartels.

Human smuggling has become more lucrative than narcotics trafficking for them under President Joe Biden.

The cartels have taken control of vast swaths of Mexico and have become more powerful than the government.

Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL), a former Army Green Beret, thinks it is time to up the ante in the fight against them.

He suggested using military intelligence to “start putting the cartels on their back foot” during an appearance on the Fox News show The Faulkner Focus.

Waltz explained that Army Green Berets helped in the fight against the drug cartels in Colombia in the 1980s and 1990s and against the communist revolutionaries in the guerrilla group Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

American military intelligence and the Army’s Delta Force helped the Colombian government kill notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Donald Trump is open to the idea of using the military to fight the cartels

“We have to take the same approach with the cartels in Mexico, Sinaloa, and Jalisco, that control nearly a third of the country fighting the Mexican Army, not the police, to a standstill, control our border, and are making billions of dollars per month trafficking humans, fentanyl, and weapons into our country,” Waltz said.

Sinaloa and Jalisco are two of the 31 states that comprise the federal entities of Mexico.

Waltz revealed that he has spoken to former President Donald Trump and his running mate, U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), about getting the military involved in the fight against the cartels.

“[We need] military resources, not an invasion, but offensive cyber, space, and other types of intelligence to start putting the cartels on their back foot and help law enforcement get control of the situation,” Waltz explained.

The open border has allowed the cartels to establish a presence in major American cities to traffic drugs.

“Not only do they dominate our border now, they are setting up outposts and gangs in our inner cities. We have got to get this situation under control. Green Berets have a unique mindset by, with, and through locals, law enforcement, and others to do that,” Waltz stated.

The situation with the cartels is becoming more dangerous as they branch out to work with other hostile groups like terrorists and China.

“These cartels are now connecting with our foreign adversaries and acting as proxies,” Waltz explained. “The Iranians are working with them for assassination attempts and infiltrating Hezbollah. ISIS is infiltrating, we arrested eight in three different cities plotting to attack us again, and I think most significantly, [cartels] are working with the Chinese Communist Party.”

Reducing the power of the cartels will be a key part of getting the border secured and stopping the flood of drugs and illegal aliens into the country.
