Going on a cruise is supposed to be a chance to relax and have a good time.
But a vacation turned into a tragedy.
And a sick crime on a cruise ship had Kristi Noem raising hell.
HIV-positive illegal aliens assault a teenager on a cruise
A Royal Caribbean cruise turned into the worst nightmare for a family.
The cruise departing from Miami, Florida with several stops in the Caribbean was supposed to be a relaxing getaway.
Two illegal aliens from Mexico sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in one of the saunas on the Independence of the Seas cruise.
Jose Juan Prudencio Diaz, 36, and 37-year-old Ricardo Daniel Mondragon Leal are accused of cornering the boy in the sauna and molesting him.
Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested the two illegal aliens when the ship docked at the Port of Miami.
They were arrested without incident.
Police said they lived together in an apartment in Mexico City.
Leal was charged with sexual battery of a minor, lewd and lascivious exhibition by an adult on a minor under 16, and lewd and lascivious molestation on a child aged 12 to 16.
Diaz was charged with having sex with someone and not disclosing his HIV status, and lewd and lascivious exhibition by an adult on a minor under 16.
They were transported to the Miami-Dade Metro West Detention Center, where they are being held while they await trial.
A judge denied both accused criminals bond because of the heinous nature of their crimes.
“The defendant, in this case, acting in concert with another defendant, they were both on a cruise,” a prosecutor said in court. “This shows that they tried to target a specific minor, and this could be done again.”
Both illegal aliens pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
An affidavit said that one of the men claimed that everything was consensual.
Royal Caribbean issued a statement saying they were cooperating with the investigation.
“We take these allegations very seriously and immediately notified local law enforcement,” a Royal Caribbean Group spokesman said. “As this is an ongoing investigation, we have nothing further to share at this time.”
The ship’s itinerary said that it was at sea on the day of the alleged crime.
Kristi Noem says these sickos will be sent packing
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer was placed on both illegal aliens.
That means the police will hold them for ICE agents to pick up for deportation, even if they were otherwise free to go.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem vowed to deport these two heinous criminals.
“One of them has HIV. Both have ICE detainers on them. We WILL get these sickos out of our country,” Noem wrote on X.
The crimes came after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law to crack down on illegal immigration in February.
One of the provisions made illegal aliens who commit violent crimes ineligible for bail in Florida and increased penalties for certain crimes.
Florida is not messing around when it comes to punishing illegal aliens for the crimes they commit.
