A St. Patrick’s Day party in Florida turned into a nightmare after this scary arrest

St. Patrick’s Day is an excuse for many Americans to party and have an enjoyable time.

The fun got out of control at one beach celebration.

And a St. Patrick’s Day party in Florida turned into a nightmare after this scary arrest.

A teenager bites a man’s ear off at a beach party for St. Patrick’s Day

Spring break season began in Florida at the beginning of March.

That means that rowdy behavior has returned to the state’s beaches.

An 18-year-old on spring break was arrested after he allegedly bit off another’s man ear during a fight at a St. Patrick’s Day party in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

Jack Turner got into a knock-down, drag-out fight with Juwan Black on the beach.

A witness, who recorded a video of the incident told the Lee County Sheriff’s Office that the fight began when Turner started hurling racial slurs at Black.

The woman recording the video asked Black if he “was just going to allow that to happen.”

Black started throwing punches and the beach brawl was on.

The pair traded blows on the beach as a crowd watched the fight.

Turner and Black ended up grappling with each other in the sand.

That is when Turner pulled his head up and bit Black’s ear off.

At that point, the crowd realized it was time to break up the fight.

A Lee County Sheriff’s Deputy on spring break duty was flagged down by one of the bystanders.

Black did not realize what had happened to him until he stood up and looked at the ground.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Turner was arrested on a felony battery charge and booked into the Lee County Jail.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation was ongoing so more charges could be added later.

Sheriff’s Deputies said that Turner and Black knew each other.

Turner was released from jail on a $50,000 bond and is due in Lee County Circuit Court at the end of April.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno told Fox News that there was zero tolerance for that kind of behavior at the beach.

“Sheriff Carmine Marceno has ZERO tolerance for violence of any kind! Fort Myers Beach will continue to remain safe for all visitors and residents of Lee County!” a statement from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office read.

The sheriff’s office is going to be increasing the number of deputies patrolling Fort Myers Beach during spring break to “ensure the safety and security of everyone.”

Terry Angrick who saw the fight unfold wanted Turner to be locked up behind bars.

“That’s sad, so terrible. Jack messed up, did a very bad thing. Very gross, man. What the heck, keep him in the slammer,” Angrick told WINK.

Florida cities are cracking down on spring break because of out-of-control behavior like the St. Patrick’s Day Fort Myers Beach brawl.
