Disney blames woke Snow White actress for the movie’s failure 

The live-action remake of Disney’s 1937 animated classic Snow White has been a disaster years in the making. 

Filming the movie began in 2022, and it has been plagued with controversy ever since. 

The $270 million movie was delayed by Hollywood strikes, re-shoots, and Disney pushed back the release date. 

Actress Rachel Zegler trashed the original animated film, calling it “weird,” and claimed that Prince Charming was a “stalker.”

The left-wing actress claimed the remake would be a feminist retelling of the timeless story tale. 

Zegler created another controversy when she attacked President Donald Trump and his supporters after the 2024 Election. 

She wrote “F*** Donald Trump” and “May Trump supporters … never know peace” on social media. 

The Snow White remake was savaged by critics and turned in one of the worst opening weekends for a Disney live-action remake. 

Disney is looking for someone to blame for this $270 million disaster, and they are pinning it on Zegler. 

Snow White producer Marc Platt met with her to warn about the damage she was doing to the film with her social media outbursts. 

The movie’s other lead, Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, began receiving death threats after Zegler posted “free Palestine” after posting a trailer for the movie on social media. 

“She didn’t understand the repercussions of her actions as far as what that meant for the film, for Gal, for anyone,” an insider told Variety. 

Disney eventually hired a social media consultant to vet any messages Zegler made to social media before she posted them. 

Another box office disaster for Disney after a movie went woke 

The beloved Seven Dwarfs from the animated film were replaced after Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage, a dwarf, complained about the movie keeping the characters because they were an outdated stereotype. 

Disney changed them to “magical creatures” before bringing the dwarfs back as computer-animated characters. 

Snow White made a disappointing $87 million worldwide on its opening weekend and is on pace to be one of the biggest box office bombs in years. 

“You can’t say that a live-action remake of the most iconic film in the vault that cost [$270] million and has been reshot multiple times opening to $50 million is OK. The math does not work. That movie should be a billion-dollar movie,” a Hollywood executive told Variety. 

Exhibitor Relations box office analyst Jeff Bock said the controversy surrounding the film ruined its chances for success. 

“They say all press is good press, but in ‘Snow White’s’ case, they were unabashedly wrong,” Bock explained. “Too much negative controversy surrounded this film for years, and it didn’t help that the reviews were subpar, likely rendering this latest live-action adventure to D+ for many potential ticket buyers.”

Disney managed to turn one of the most popular films it ever made into a woke disaster with the remake.
