Amazon is feeling the heat after an illegal alien committed this heinous crime in Florida

Aug 29, 2024

Illegal aliens are entering the workforce in record numbers during the border crisis.

Companies have no idea who they are actually hiring.

Now, Amazon is feeling the heat after an illegal alien committed this heinous crime in Florida.

Illegal alien Amazon delivery driver hits Florida mom

A Florida mother pushing her four-month-old infant in a stroller was struck by an illegal alien from Venezuela who was working as a delivery driver for Amazon in Ives Estates, Florida, in the Miami area.

The mom suffered “catastrophic” injuries, and her infant was thrown into the street after Sarahy Parra-Ovalles hit them while they were crossing the street.

Parra-Ovalles stopped her car to put the baby back in the stroller and then fled the scene.

The mom suffered serious injuries to her head and was rushed to the hospital.

Luckily, the infant escaped the situation unharmed.

Parra-Ovalles came to the United States from Venezuela on a tourist visa in 2019.

She overstayed her visa which expired in 2021.

The Department of Homeland Security gave her Temporary Protected Status in 2021 which shielded her from deportation and gave her a permit to work legally in the country.

Amazon faces a lawsuit for its illegal alien driver

Parra-Ovalles was arrested by the Miami-Dade Police Department for leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury.

She was released on bond.

Judd Rosen, the mother’s lawyer, was outraged that Parra-Ovalles was put back on the streets after such a heinous crime.

“She was run down in broad daylight and left for dead, and within 24 hours of getting arrested, [the suspect is] back on the streets, potentially driving around. Where is the justice system when you need them?” Rosen wondered.

Parra-Ovalles was terminated by Amazon where she was working as a contractor for the company’s delivery service.

Amazon spokesman Steve Kelly told Local 10 News the company was looking into the incident.

“This is a terrible incident and our thoughts are with this family. We’re looking into the matter and will support law enforcement as they investigate,” Kelly said. “The driver in question is no longer delivering on behalf of Amazon.”

Rosen told the New York Post that companies hiring gig workers like Amazon, Uber, and DoorDash are throwing hiring standards out the window.

“They’ve sacrificed their safety and standards to increase the speed of delivery. And I’ve seen over the last months and years that the drivers they’re hiring are less and less qualified,” Rosen explained.

Parra-Ovalles had two earlier incidents and was cited for running a stop sign and reckless driving before she was hired by Amazon.

Rosen said that the driving record would be used in a lawsuit against Amazon.

“This is the last person they’d want driving around in the suburbs, and Amazon simply doesn’t care…all they care about is making money,” Rosen stated.

Illegal aliens are flocking to gig economy jobs that are constantly in search of employees.

And that is leaving the rest of the country at risk.
