Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is a conservative firebrand who has become one of former President Donald Trump’s strongest supporters in Congress.
She was a swimsuit model and worked with the conservative activist group Turning Point USA before being elected to the House.
Luna was featured in the cover story for Maxim magazine where she revealed some of the lessons she learned from Trump.
She told the outlet that the former President helped her navigate Washington’s “D.C.’s Swamp.”
“First, always do what you think is right for the people you serve, even if it means going against the grain and sometimes your own party,” Luna said she learned from Trump.
“The Washington, DC, elite is real, and when it comes to fixing a broken system, being an outsider is not a bad thing,” Luna explained.
She revealed that she learned how to be a better negotiator from listening to Trump talk about how he managed business deals and interactions with foreign leaders.
Trump told her that the best deals come at the 11th hour.
“Finally, don’t forget the personal touch,” Luna told Maxim. “Behind closed doors, he’s the most hospitable and caring person I’ve ever met. His family adores him, and so does his staff. He has personal friendships with many members of Congress and the Senate and does little things to stay in touch, such as writing letters and making calls.”
Luna has known the former President for four years.

Luna served in the Air Force and when she left the service she thought she wanted to become a doctor.
But she volunteered with an organization that fought child sex trafficking.
There she realized the horrors that an open border creates.
“I realized that to change the national narrative and to try to solve the issue, I would have to run for office,” Luna explained. “There’s not exactly a manual on how to do that, but I figured it out. This job is not easy, but it’s extremely rewarding. I know that I’m already having an impact on foreign policy and our military and raising awareness to stop crimes against children.”
Luna said that the most surprising thing she discovered about Washington, D.C. was how the press was everywhere.
“How quickly things leak to the press!” Luna exclaimed. “I remember when I first got elected, we were in a closed-door session to talk about the election of the next Speaker of the House, and no press was allowed. After the meeting, I headed back to my office, and before I could even let my chief of staff know what had happened, he asked me about a conversation in the meeting.”
“I later found out that someone was leaking information to the press. News travels at lightning speed in Washington, and the press is everywhere,” Luna added.
