President Donald Trump faced an onslaught of attacks from the legacy media on a daily basis.
It figured that a book about the historic election by a legacy media reporter would be used to spread fake news.
Axios reporter Alex Isenstadt used a preview of his upcoming book Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump’s Return to Power to generate some headlines for it.
Isenstadt claimed that Trump offered his bed to Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) in 2023 and told her to keep a secret from First Lady Melania Trump.
Luna was flying on Trump’s private jet while she was pregnant and feeling under the weather.
“If you need a bed to lay down in, there’s one here on the plane. If you feel sick and you need to lay there, you can lay on it. Just don’t tell Melania. She doesn’t like other women on my bed,” Trump said, according to Isenstadt.
Isenstadt said that Trump was joking when he made the remark about Melania.
The Daily Beast ran a story based on the book’s snippet titled “Don’t Tell Melania: Trump Once Offered Rising MAGA Star His Bed.”
“The alleged comments cast new light on the president’s eyebrow-raising marriage to Melania Trump,” the story’s teaser read.
In an attempt to make the story seem salacious, the part where Isenstadt said that Trump was joking was left toward the end of the article.
The Daily Beast made the story imply that Luna and Trump were having some kind of fling.
When the article was shared on The Daily Beast’s X account, the outlet kept the deception going.
“The new revelations reveal how Trump reportedly offered a female congresswoman his bed, as long as she kept it a secret from his wife,” The Daily Beast’s X headline read.
A picture of Melania giving a glaring look was included.

The Daily Beast used deceptive headlines and editing to smear Trump and Luna.
Luna trashed the story from the Daily Beast and the book as being a hit piece.
“I seldom respond to nasty headlines because I don’t like giving trash credibility, however, being that there is allegedly a book coming out with me named and attacking @POTUS, his marriage, our first lady, and frankly implying something distasteful about me, I am responding,” Luna wrote on X.
She revealed that she was suffering from pre-eclampsia symptoms during her pregnancy.
“As soon as @realDonaldTrump boarded the plane, being the gentleman and good person that he is, said if I did not feel well, I could use the back room. He did this in a respectful way and in front of my husband, of which we thanked him. He also assured me that they had a medical team on board in case anything happened and they were aware of how pregnant I was,” Luna explained.
Luna praised Trump for the thoughtful gesture while she was not feeling well.
“This was the most compassionate thing that could’ve been done at the time. I find it disgusting that the author fails to recognize that,” Luna continued. “A few weeks later, I was induced because I did have pre-eclampsia. The author of this book never reached out to me for comment. Which means that this book is likely going to be a s— hit piece. If people in POTUS orbit are talking to this author, they need to be cut off immediately. This is gross.”
