Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) was first elected to the House in the 2022 Midterm Elections after she worked for the college conservative group Turning Point USA.
The 35-year-old former swimsuit model has been a conservative firebrand since she was elected to Congress.
Luna has landed on the radar of Democrats as an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump and a rising star for the GOP.
She represents the 13th Congressional which is a Republican-leaning seat but one she cannot take for granted.
Trump carried the seat by slightly over six points in the 2020 Election.
Her Democrat challenger this year, Whitney Fox, is being hyped by national Democrats as a candidate who could potentially make the race competitive.
The New York Times has already written a puff-piece article about Fox, a signal Luna is becoming a villain to national Democrats like Representative Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
Now the race is getting heated with accusations of threats being made.
FBI contacted in Luna’s House race
Luna posted a screenshot of a Facebook comment on social media that she claimed was one of Fox’s supporters threatening her.
“If she is ‘hiding,’ I know where she lives if anyone is interested in sending her a love letter or……something. She dwells riiiiiight around the corner,” the Facebook comment reads.
Luna said that she reported the comment to the FBI and law enforcement.
“I have had threats made, things sent to my office, etc. Violence in politics is never acceptable and should never be condoned,” Luna wrote on X. “Female members also happen to be the most targeted for violence and harassment. The fact that this went on for weeks is not only abhorrent, but also it is shameful.”
Democrats leaned into attacking Trump and his supporters as alleged threats to democracy.
Luna’s opponent is no exception.
“In an attempt to gain any form of attention, my ‘opponent,’ tried to label me as a threat to democracy. She then allowed her supporters on her campaign social media to publicly dox, coordinate, and solicit individuals to send threatening packages to my home address. The comment below is just one of many. Last night, the police department as well as the FBI were notified. There is now an open investigation with LEO,” Luna added.
Luna revealed that she is one of the top targets for threats in Congress.
“I am, unfortunately, one of the top targeted members of Congress for violence. I have had threats made, things sent to my office, etc. Violence in politics is never acceptable and should never be condoned. Female members also happen to be the most targeted for violence and harassment,” Luna stated.
Democrats have been using overheated rhetoric against Trump and his supporters for years.
That is creating a scary situation for Trump, Anna Paulina Luna, and others in the MAGA movement.
