Ashley Moody slams obstructionist tactics by Senate Democrats 

U.S. Senator Ashley Moody is speaking out against the deadly consequences of the delay tactics used by Senate Democrats against President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees. 

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Moody, Florida’s former Attorney General, to fill the vacancy created after Marco Rubio became Secretary of State. 

Moody argued that new Attorney General Pam Bondi needed the team around her confirmed as quickly as possible so she could tackle the tough problems facing the country. 

“She needs her people in place to effectuate these things,” Moody said. “She needs the Director of the (Federal Bureau of Investigation) ready to go. Her passion to secure this nation based on her decades as a prosecutor and Attorney General? I mean, it is still lore back in Florida when she went into lawmakers’ chambers and said, this amount of fentanyl will kill you.” 

Democrats delayed the nomination of FBI director nominee Kash Patel. 

She warned that delays would result in more Americans suffering from the scourge of fentanyl. 

“And remember, that is the number one killer of working and fighting-age Americans right now,” Moody explained. “There is no more time to waste, and if Democrats stand in our way, it is on their hands and heads if we cannot control the crime and devastation that was the result of the Biden administration.”

Moody criticized Democrats for delaying important policies that would help the American people. 

“The Democrats are pushing against President Trump’s nominees,” Moody stated. “I’m listening to them saying, ‘We’re going to fight.’ Their definition of that is to obstruct, delay, and waste very precious time to get this country back on the right course.”

Moody joins the fight in Washington, D.C. after serving as Florida’s Attorney General 

Moody, who took over for Bondi as Florida’s Attorney General, spent the last four years suing the lawless Biden administration. 

She praised Trump for stepping up to secure the southern border while the Biden administration let chaos reign. 

“Imagine, for a moment, a home. You’re trying to protect it. And your options are President Trump to protect your house, or former President Biden to protect your house. It’s not even a question,” Moody stated. 

Miami, Florida recently had two high-profile incidents where illegal aliens were discovered packed into the back of U-Haul trucks. 

“Under the last President, in Florida, we saw Chinese nationals coming across our border illegally go up 8,000%. Think about that number,” Moody said. “While Governor DeSantis was asking for more and more help, it wasn’t happening. So, he declared an emergency surge of state assets. That’s what you do to protect your jurisdictional bounds. And that’s what President Trump is going to do for America.”

Trump surged emergency assets from the Coast Guard to South Florida to help protect against any influx of illegal aliens arriving on boats. 

Ashley Moody is settling into the Senate as one of the strongest opponents of illegal immigration.
