Elon Musk warns of noncitizens with Social Security numbers
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) official Antonio Gracias revealed the staggering increase in Social Security numbers held by illegal aliens at a tele town hall.
“In 2021, 270,000 SSNs were issued to noncitizens,” Gracias said.
That number exploded to 2.1 million by 2024.
Gracias said that the Biden administration was handing out Social Security numbers like candy at Halloween.
“Once they’re here and apply for a work permit, the Social Security Administration automatically sends them an SSN — no interview, no ID required,” Gracias explained.
Some of these illegal aliens were getting registered to vote based on DOGE’s research.
“We took a sample, checked voter registration records, and found that people in this group had registered and voted. We’ve already referred some cases for prosecution,” Gracias stated.
Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) said that he had “the disgust every American has” after DOGE’s revelation about illegal aliens getting Social Security numbers during an appearance on Fox Business Network’s Evening Edit.
“My reaction is the disgust that every American has because we knew that what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and the left were doing in the darkness of night was shoving illegal immigrants into every role possible, whether it be entitlements or voting rolls across the country,” Donalds stated.
Congress needs to take action to shut down Joe Biden’s scheme
Donalds argued that Congress needed to run with this damning information and act on it.
“Now we have proof,” Donalds said. “So, the responsibility now falls to Congress to make sure this does not happen again and to get these people off of these programs. We are already running a deficit this year of $1.8 trillion, and so it is the responsibility of every Republican on Capitol Hill, and yes, Democrats on Capitol Hill, to do what is right, to make sure that these programs are for the American people and the American people alone.”
“And anybody in the country illegally? They need to go home. It is that simple,” Donalds added.
Host Elizabeth MacDonald pointed out that illegal aliens having Social Security numbers potentially gives them access to a plethora of government benefits including child tax credits, Medicaid, and unemployment.
She noted those programs are already plagued with fraud.
“That is absolutely correct,” Donalds replied. “When you have a Social Security number assigned to you, you can weave your way in and out of all these other programs. And what is worse is that typically, when you qualify for one, you qualify for all.”
Donalds said that programs needed stronger eligibility checks.
“That is something that must occur in budget reconciliation. The American people and the future of our finances deserve nothing less,” Donalds concluded.
Illegal aliens getting Social Security numbers opened the door for them to take advantage of the system.
