Christina Pushaw humiliated the climate change activists with this one old photo of Miami

Jun 17, 2024

Democrats and the left-wing media have been after Ron DeSantis since he rejected Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci’s pandemic tyranny.

They are even blaming DeSantis for the torrential rainfall in South Florida.

But Christina Pushaw humiliated the climate change activists with this one old photo of Miami.

The first tropical disturbance of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season hit the southwestern and central portions of Florida on Wednesday.

The disturbance dropped over two feet of torrential rain and caused massive flooding in South Florida.

Rain totals reached 19 inches in Hollywood, Florida, 20 inches in North Miami, and a whopping 25 inches in Collier County.

Ron DeSantis quickly declared a state of emergency in five counties.

“Preliminary reports indicate that the rainfall and flooding has affected and may continue to impact the operational capability of critical infrastructure, including major interstates, state and county roadways, airports, schools, and other critical infrastructure throughout these counties,” DeSantis wrote in his executive order. “I declare that a major state of emergency exists in Broward, Collier, Lee, Miami-Dade, and Sarasota counties.”

Of course, heavy rainfall is not a new phenomenon in Florida.

After all, the Sunshine State is a peninsula.

But the left-wing media is constantly looking for an excuse to attack DeSantis.

And Democrats and left-wing activists in the media instantly blamed Ron DeSantis for the flooding in south Florida.

“Florida refuses to acknowledge ‘climate change,’ despite streets turning into rivers and @GovRonDeSantis vetoing crucial infrastructure projects in vulnerable communities,” State Senator Shevrin Jones wrote on X.

Shevrin was referring to the legislation DeSantis recently signed into law that protects Florida from Joe Biden’s green agenda.

The legislation removed language requiring state agencies to consider “climate change” when creating energy policy, banned offshore wind turbines and offshore wind facilities within a mile of the coastline, and paved the way for easier construction of natural gas pipelines by removing unnecessary regulations.

The Miami Herald also used the flooding as an excuse to attack DeSantis for rejecting the climate alarmism of the Left.

But DeSantis staffers Jeremy Redfern and Christina Pushaw gave them a history lesson on rain in Florida.

“Florida’s highest single year of rain on record was in Pensacola in 1878, totaling 127.24 inches,” Redfern wrote on X.

Christina Pushaw shared a photo from several decades ago in The Miami Herald that showed even worse flooding in south Florida.

“Heavy rain and flooding in Miami is not a new phenomenon,” Pushaw wrote above the photo.

Ron DeSantis has faced a never-ending string of attacks from the Left since the pandemic.

But with the help of staffers like Pushaw and Redfern, the left-wing attacks never work and usually end up backfiring.
