Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm just two weeks after Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm.
Kamala Harris tried to use the damage inflicted by both hurricanes to score cheap political points.
And then Christina Pushaw left Kamala Harris speechless when she dropped a truth bomb about Ron DeSantis.
Hurricane season started this year on June 1 and runs all the way through November 30.
With more than a month left in this year’s season, there is still plenty of time for more destructive storms to impact the United States.
But this has already been a tough season for Floridians.
Three of the five hurricanes that hit the United States this season made landfall in the Sunshine State.
On September 27, Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida as a strong Category 4 storm with sustained winds of 140 mph.
It also created a storm surge that caused record flooding in the area.
Before Floridians could fully recover from Helene, Hurricane Milton made landfall just two weeks later on October 9.
Unlike Helene, Milton went directly across Florida and created a path of destruction with its strong winds, tornadoes, and heavy rainfall.
Milton left over four million customers without electricity in the state.
But they would not be in the dark for long thanks to the leadership of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency and immediately started making the type of executive decisions it takes to lead a disaster recovery effort.
DeSantis brought over 50,000 linemen to Florida to help with restoring power and telecommunications.

And the results were nothing short of amazing.
On Tuesday, DeSantis announced that power had fully been restored to more than four-million homes and businesses.
This is the fastest restoration in history.
“That is the fastest it’s ever been done for that many accounts,” DeSantis said. “Even if you’re without power for a few hours, that can be a real pain in the rear end.”
DeSantis communications director Christina Pushaw shared the exciting news in a post on X.

Kamala Harris attacked DeSantis over his disaster recovery efforts.
She accused him of allegedly “playing political games.”
“People are in desperate need of support right now and playing political games at this moment, in these crisis situations, these are the height of emergency situations, it’s just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish,” Harris told reporters.
Kamala Harris tried to use the hurricane to boost her poll numbers by attacking DeSantis.
But Kamala ate those words when she saw Pushaw’s post.
