Donald Trump faced another attempt on his life in Florida.
The search for answers about why it happened is on.
And Donald Trump gave the FBI one order and told Ron DeSantis to handle the rest.
Donald Trump tells the FBI to let Florida handle investigation into assassination attempt
Former President Donald Trump faced a second attempt on his life in as many months at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, set up a sniper’s nest in the bushes along the sixth hole of the golf course.
Secret Service agents foiled the plot after discovering him and opening fire.
Routh was arrested and charged with possession of gun a by a felon and possession of a gun with an obliterated serial number.
Federal prosecutors later added a charge for the attempted assassination of a major political candidate which carries a life sentence if convicted.
The Miami Field Office of the FBI is managing the investigation into the attempted assassination.
Whistleblowers previously identified the FBI agent in charge of that office, Jeffrey Veltri, for his extreme bias against Trump and his supporters.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that his state would conduct a parallel investigation into Routh because the Biden-Harris Justice Department could not be trusted after trying to prosecute Trump.
Trump said that Florida should take the lead in the investigation over the Justice Department because of the department’s political bias.
“The Kamala Harris/Joe Biden Department of Justice and FBI are mishandling and downplaying the second assassination attempt on my life since July,” Trump said. “It’s no wonder, since the DOJ and FBI have been coming after me nonstop with Weaponized Lawfare since I announced my first Historic Campaign for the Presidency.”
The FBI is already trying to stonewall Florida’s investigators
DeSantis pointed out that Florida has more serious crimes that the state could try Routh than federal prosecutors.
“If the DOJ and FBI cannot do their job honestly and without bias, and hold the aspiring assassin responsible to the full extent of the Law, Governor Ron DeSantis and the State of Florida have already agreed to take the lead on the investigation and prosecution,” Trump added.
The Florida Governor revealed that state law enforcement was blocked by the FBI from inspecting the crime scene at the Trump International Golf Club.
“Florida charges would be much more serious than the ones the FBI has announced. The TRUTH would be followed, wherever it leads,” Trump stated. “OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT AND DISCREDITED, especially as it pertains to the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. LET FLORIDA HANDLE THE CASE!”
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody was tapped by DeSantis to oversee the state’s investigation.
She asked the FBI and federal prosecutors to cooperate with Florida’s investigation of the incident.
Moody said that she heard a rumor that the FBI views Florida’s parallel investigation as a violation of federal law.
The investigation into the first assassination attempt against Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania has produced little information for the public about what happened.
Florida could be the only opportunity for a thorough and fair investigation into the latest attempt on the former President’s life.
