Donald Trump got one message from a Florida sheriff that was bad news for Democrats

Law and order is back on the menu with Donald Trump in the White House.

The President got a helping hand to make his agenda happen.

And Donald Trump got one message from a Florida sheriff that was bad news for Democrats.

Florida sheriff works with federal law enforcement to crack down on illegal immigration

Florida’s sheriffs are playing a significant role in President Donald Trump’s efforts to arrest and deport illegal aliens.

Every one of the state’s 67 county sheriffs agreed to participate in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) 287(g) program which deputizes them to enforce federal immigration law.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a sweeping anti-illegal immigration bill to help with deportations last month.

It is now a state crime for an illegal alien to enter Florida.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey can now ramp up his office’s efforts to stop illegal immigration with these new powers.

“Our deputies are out here working hand in hand with our federal partners working with FHP [Florida Highway Patrol] this is what’s going to get the job done,” Ivey said.

Ivey told Florida’s Voice Radio that his office was partnering with federal law enforcement on a new task force known as S.H.I.E.L.D [Sheriff’s Homeland and Immigration Enforcement Lawful Detention].

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is working with ICE, Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), and the Department of Homeland Security to coordinate their efforts to crack down on illegal immigration.

“We were out on the side of Interstate 95 yesterday working with our partners from Customs and Border Patrol,” Ivey said.

The task force arrested seven illegal aliens on the major north-south interstate.

Ivey and his federal partners are targeting highways to find illegal aliens.

“In about three hours, we had 11 that were being detained by Customs and Border Patrol,” Ivey stated.

Sheriff dismisses critics of Florida’s aggressive approach against illegal immigration

Ivey praised DeSantis and the federal government for supporting a zero-tolerance approach to illegal immigration.

The sheriff smacked down opponents of taking a hardline against illegal aliens in Florida.

“There were those that went on our page [criticizing S.H.I.E.L.D.],” Ivey explained. “But my answer to them is this: If somebody breaks into your house or robs you, or worse — when we go to arrest them — if they’re hard at work on a job, then we shouldn’t arrest them? That’s what you’re telling me.”

Ivey pointed out that everyone who entered the country illegally has committed a crime.

“These people broke the law by coming into our country illegally, then they’ve now broken the law twice by coming into the state of Florida with our new immigration law,” Ivey noted. “And because they’re hard-working, we’re supposed to turn a blind eye to it? Nope. Not going to happen — zero tolerance.”

ICE has 24 field offices throughout the country and less than 10,000 agents working in its Enforcement and Removal Operations division.

Sheriffs and local law enforcement will play a crucial role in helping federal law enforcement arrest and detain illegal aliens for deportation.
