Donald Trump has been in danger this election cycle like no other Presidential candidate in decades.
The Biden-Harris administration wants to bury the truth about the threats against him.
And Florida fought the Justice Department for trying to cover up this crime against Trump.
Florida’s investigation into the second assassination attempt against Donald Trump blocked
Ryan Routh waited with a scoped rifle in a sniper’s nest along a fence by the sixth hole at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida for former President Donald Trump to play through.
Secret Service agents scouting ahead discovered him and opened fire which sent him fleeing.
Routh was arrested in nearby Martin County, Florida.
The Justice Department and the FBI’s Miami Field Office took the lead in investigating the latest assassination attempt against Trump.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ordered that this state open a parallel investigation into Routh for the state crimes he committed.
DeSantis said that the Biden-Harris Justice Department could not be trusted to conduct a thorough and fair investigation because of its various witch hunts against Trump.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody’s office was tapped by DeSantis to lead the investigation.
The Biden-Harris administration has been trying to interfere with that probe from the start.
Florida filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department for trying to thwart its investigation into the second Trump assassination attempt.
“Every day that Florida is prevented from investigating, the State’s case becomes harder to prove at trial,” Florida’s lawsuit stated. “By contrast, the federal government suffers no injury from Florida investigating state law crimes, as the State has no intention of interfering with or obstructing the federal investigation.”
Florida blocked every step of the way during the Trump investigation
Ashley Moody broke down the obstruction from the Biden-Harris administration her office has faced during an appearance on Fox & Friends.
“We hoped that this day would not come, but at every turn, as we have moved forward with our investigations, they have attempted to frustrate that,” Moody explained. “And in fact, it came down to them stating that they were suspending state jurisdiction, which would indefinitely put our investigation on hold. We don’t believe the law supports that.”
The longer the delays the harder it becomes for Florida to investigate the case as the evidence grows cold.
Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed that his department would cooperate with Florida’s investigation.
Moody explained that the investigation faced obstacles at every turn.
“Certainly, when this took place, many of our local agencies assisted,” Moody said. “In fact, we were responsible for apprehending the defendant. We have done everything in our power to assist, but when it comes down to going after the most serious crimes for state law violations, including other state crimes that resulted from the fleeing and eluding, that has been frustrated at every turn.”
“We’ve made contact. We’ve had meetings, but unfortunately… Florida, and I, as Attorney General, are going to stand up for the sovereignty of this state and push back on what we believe is an overreach of federal power,” Moody added.
The Biden-Harris Justice Department wants to put the brakes on an independent investigation that could expose the whole truth about the second attempt on Donald Trump’s life.
