Florida went to war against Kamala Harris over this awful scheme to destroy Walmart

Oct 24, 2024

Kamala Harris is dead set on making life more expensive for Americans.

More crippling inflation is around the corner if she gets her way.

And Florida went to war against Kamala Harris over this awful scheme to destroy Walmart.

The Biden-Harris administration is forcing commercial trucks to go electric

Combating climate change has been the top priority for President Joe Biden.

He has been trying to force drivers to switch to electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions.

Biden’s plan to electrify transportation extends beyond personal vehicles.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a rule in March to force commercial trucking to go electric.

The EPA would require 60% of local delivery trucks and 25% of long-haul tractor-trailers to be electric by 2032.

Long-haul trucking is the backbone of the logistics industry that moves goods to stores.

The Institute for Energy Research found that forcing commercial trucks would be a catastrophe for the country that would ignite inflation.

Electric trucks can be up to three times more expensive than equivalent diesel models.

Going electric will cause these trucks to have shorter range and will require added time to charge them.

And the infrastructure to support charging for long-haul electric trucks does not exist.

It could cost more than $1 trillion to build out a charging network and make the necessary upgrades to the electric grid to accommodate electric commercial trucks.

Vice President Kamala Harris will not comment on whether she will repeal any of Biden’s electric vehicle mandates.

This is going to stick retailers with higher prices that will be passed on to consumers on every good they purchase.

The Biden-Harris administration is sued over its electric semi-truck mandate

Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers (R) is leading a group of 24 states in a lawsuit against the EPA to stop the electric commercial truck mandate.

“The EPA’s attempt to transform the trucking industry and supply chain infrastructure goes well beyond the agency’s authority,” Hilgers said in a press release. “Once again, the Biden-Harris Administration’s radical climate agenda will harm Americans.”

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming are taking part in the lawsuit against the EPA.

Hilgers warned that the mandate would damage Nebraska’s economy.

“A national electric-truck mandate will raise prices for groceries, strain the electrical grid, and disrupt the transportation, logistics, biofuel, and farming industries that drive the Nebraska economy,” Hilgers stated.

The lawsuit argues that the EPA was not granted the authority by Congress to unilaterally make this sweeping change.

It adds that this is a policy that is left for Congress and the states to decide.

Right now, only 0.1% of heavy-duty trucks are electric.

The EPA’s mandate would make that number jump to 45% in less than ten years.

“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ bureaucrats in D.C. want everyone in Louisiana to drive an electric vehicle or frankly no cars at all — and now they want to transform the trucking industry to require an ‘electric-truck mandate,'” Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill (R) said. “This would only raise prices even more for industries and consumers throughout our state and country.”

Making the commercial trucking industry electric would be a catastrophe for the country.
