Hillary Clinton made one confession that left Ron DeSantis stunned

Most Americans were hoping Hillary Clinton would ride off into the sunset after she lost to Donald Trump in 2016.

But Hillary just will not go away and keeps coming back.

And now Hillary Clinton made one confession that left Ron DeSantis stunned.

Americans thought Hillary Clinton’s time on the national stage was over after her defeat in the 2016 Presidential election.

After the Russian-collusion hoax failed to remove Donald Trump from office, Clinton remained in the shadows, and everyone thought they would never hear from the two-time failed Presidential candidate in future elections.

But Hillary Clinton did not stay in the shadows for long.

And now she is doing everything she can to help Kamala Harris do what she failed to do and defeat Donald Trump.

On Saturday, Hillary Clinton appeared for an interview with host Michael Smerconish on CNN to promote her memoir that came out in September, Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty.

In the interview, Hillary Clinton called for social media companies to be held responsible for the content posted on their platforms.

She mentioned how she addresses the issue in her book by focusing on children.

“If the platforms, whether it’s Facebook or Twitter/X or Instagram or TikTok, whatever they are, if they don’t moderate and monitor the content, we lose total control,” Clinton said. “And it’s not just the social and psychological effects, it’s real harm,” she continued. “It’s, you know, child porn, and threats of violence, things that are terribly dangerous.”

Section 230 of the Communications Act protects companies from being held responsible for third-party content posted on their platforms.

Clinton called for repealing Section 230.

“We should be, in my view, repealing something called Section 230, which gave, you know, platforms on the internet immunity because they were thought to be just pass-throughs, that they shouldn’t be judged for the content that is posted,” Clinton said.

Clinton pointed to left-wing states like New York and California as examples of the action the federal government should take.

“But we need national action, and sadly, our Congress has been dysfunctional when it comes to addressing these threats to our children,” she added.

But Clinton then praised legislation that was kickstarted by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis signed a bill into law that prohibits kids from using their cell phones in the classroom.

Clinton believes this is a wonderful idea that others should follow.

“We’ve conducted this big experiment on ourselves and particularly our kids and I think the evidence is in that we’ve got to do more,” she said. “Take phones out of schools,” she continued. “I’m so happy to see schools beginning to do that, where the kids turn their phone in when they walk in the door.”

“And guess what?” she continued, before adding that “kids are paying better attention in class, they are talking to each other in the lunchroom, things that used to be part of your daily life when you were a child in school.”

Of course, Hillary Clinton did not dare to mention that Ron DeSantis had taken the lead on the legislation that she was promoting.
