Joe Biden’s campaign chair made one prediction about Florida that caught Ron DeSantis by surprise

Florida has historically been one of the top Presidential swing states in the country.

But Ron DeSantis transformed Florida’s political landscape with his pro-freedom policies.

And Joe Biden’s campaign chair made one prediction about Florida that caught Ron DeSantis by surprise.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump are set to face off on Thursday in a debate hosted by CNN in Atlanta, Georgia.

Polls currently show Joe Biden is trailing Donald Trump both nationally and in the key swing states that will determine the outcome of the election.

Even though Florida has been a top swing state for decades, Ron DeSantis has fundamentally transformed the Sunshine State’s political landscape during his time as Governor.

According to official data, Democrats outnumbered Republicans in Florida by nearly 300,000 registered voters in 2018.

But DeSantis’ leadership helped move Florida from the swing state category over to a solid red state.

Today, Republicans hold a super majority in the State Legislature and have over 900,000 more registered voters than Democrats. That is a 1.2 million registration swing in just 6 years.

However, Democrats were able to place an initiative on the ballot to overturn the heartbeat law and legalize abortion on demand in Florida.

Democrat operatives are hopeful that this pro-abortion initiative will help drive left-wing turnout and put Florida back in play for Joe Biden.

But one top Democrat strategist knows this is not likely to happen.

And that Democrat operative is none other than Joe Biden campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon.

During a recent interview, Dillon discussed Biden’s “six in six” strategy of targeting Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia.

Florida is missing from the “six in six” list of states.

The reporter asked Dillon if Florida was a battleground state.

“Yes,” Dillon said when asked if North Carolina was a swing state.

“Florida?” the reporter then asked.

“No,” she responded.

“Thank you,” the interviewer said. “I was afraid you were going to lie.”

Of course, even though Florida is missing from the “six in six” list, Biden and Harris have both campaigned in the Sunshine State this year.

Biden also opened his campaign’s first office in Florida back in April.

But Joe Biden’s campaign chair just revealed how Democrats truly feel about Florida.

And they know Ron DeSantis turned it into a solid red state where Biden can’t compete with Trump.
