Kamala Harris launches a hoax involving Gold Star families
Democrats and their media allies are ramping up the hoaxes and lies about former President Donald Trump now that the race has entered the homestretch.
The Gold Star families of the 13 servicemen who died in an ISIS attack at the Abbey Gate checkpoint during the botched Afghanistan withdrawal invited the former President to attend a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
Trump built a bond with the Gold Star families over the last three years because the Biden-Harris administration has never reached out to them.
Democrats and their media allies do not want the conversation to be about Afghanistan.
The botched withdrawal is one of the greatest foreign policy debacles in American history and a black mark on Vice President Kamala Harris’ record.
So, the Left tried to flip the script to make Trump the story for visiting Arlington National Cemetery in a national scandal.
National Public Radio (NPR) claimed without evidence there was a physical and verbal altercation between the Trump campaign and a cemetery worker.
There were also allegations that Trump’s campaign violated federal rules by taking pictures for political purposes.
Kamala seized on this to attack the former President on social media.
“If there is one thing on which we as Americans can all agree, it is that our veterans, military families, and service members should be honored, never disparaged, and treated with nothing less than our highest respect and gratitude,” Kamala posted on social media. “Someone who cannot meet this simple, sacred duty should never again stand behind the seal of the President of the United States of America.”
Ron DeSantis shut down the Arlington National Cemetery hoax
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Navy veteran who served in Iraq, ripped Kamala for trying to politicize Trump’s Arlington National Cemetery visit.
“I don’t see the outrage,” DeSantis said. “Here’s the thing – if people like Harris and the media are going to express more outrage at that, than the people who made them Gold Star families in the first place? Something is wrong. That is unacceptable.”
“He didn’t just show up to make a scene,” DeSantis added. “They invited him to be there. They asked him to pose for photos with the family members of the fallen.”
The Gold Star families put out videos and statements bashing Kamala for ignoring them.

“We, the families of the brave service members who were tragically killed in the Abbey Gate bombing, are appalled by Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent attempts to politicize President Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery. President Trump was invited by us, the Gold Star families, to attend the solemn ceremonies commemorating the three-year anniversary of our children’s deaths. He was there to honor their sacrifice, yet Vice President Harris has disgracefully twisted this sacred moment into a political ploy,” the Gold Star families said.
Kamala Harris’ attempt to deflect attention away from her failure in Afghanistan and ignoring the Gold Star families backfired.
