Kevin O’Leary lowered the boom on Tim Walz for this awful failure

Aug 20, 2024

Tim Walz is getting vetted by the public after he became the Democrat Vice Presidential nominee.

One business legend does not like what he saw.

And Kevin O’Leary lowered the boom on Tim Walz for this awful failure.

Kevin O’Leary trashes Tim Walz for ruining Minnesota’s economy

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was relatively unknown when he was tapped by Vice President Kamala Harris to be her running mate.

The floundering Biden-Harris economy has the business community looking for clues about what the future could hold under a Harris-Walz administration.

O’Leary Ventures chairman Kevin O’Leary said that he investigated Walz’s record as Governor and the results were not pretty during an appearance on The Big Money Show on Fox Business.

“I didn’t know anything about the VP candidate, Tim. And so, I did some digging last week,” O’Leary said. “He is not a good manager. If you look at his stewardship of his state, Minnesota, it’s been not good.”

The Shark Tank star said that jobs and businesses are fleeing Minnesota under Walz’s leadership.

“Look, people say, ‘Oh, you’re partisan, you’re partisan.’ No, I’m not. I’m looking at the track record of an individual who came into a state and wiped out job creation,” O’Leary explained. “He wiped out job creation in professional, in manufacturing, in accounting. In every subcategory you look at, those jobs moved to South Dakota, North Dakota.”

Minnesota has lagged behind its neighbors in job creation and business expansions and relocations.

“Minnesota only creates jobs in services that are funded by the government: health care, social services,” O’Leary remarked. “Every other sector’s in decline. He’s also added a surcharge of 1%, 100 basis points, on top of 9.8% taxes on individuals that are retiring. And of course, they’re leaving the state in droves.”

Florida has become the top destination for residents of Minnesota to relocate during the Walz administration.

Walz flushed away an $18 billion surplus in 2022 with wasteful spending and hiked taxes.

Kevin O’Leary supports Trump’s attempt to streamline government

Former President Donald Trump had an interview with Tesla founder Elon Musk on X that caught O’Leary’s eye.

Musk said that he wanted to serve on a commission to make the federal government more efficient.

“I am a huge fan of Elon Musk,” O’Leary said. “Full disclosure, my son works for him and loves his job at Tesla. And I think that [Elon]’s a modern-day Bruce Wayne.”

“If he got involved with government, it would be a good thing for everybody in America,” O’Leary added.

O’Leary thought that the federal government would be in better shape with more successful business people like Musk.

“The guy’s a no B.S. guy. He’s very transparent and he really knows what he’s doing,” O’Leary explained. “He has executional skills. You may not like him, you may not like his communication styles, but look at what he’s accomplished.”

“If we could get more Elon Musk’s in the government, this country would not be in this situation it’s in, divided so much,” O’Leary said.

Donald Trump has a wide array of allies who want to help clean up Washington, D.C.
