President-elect Donald Trump nominated former Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as Attorney General to drop the hammer on rogue elements in the Justice Department and the FBI.
Democrats and their media allies hope that the Justice Department will be able to undermine the Trump administration again.
That is why Gaetz was subjected to vicious and false attacks from the media designed to sink his nomination.
Gaetz withdrew from consideration to be Trump’s Attorney General because he did not want his nomination to be a distraction from the incoming administration.
The politics of personal destruction against him were on display during a segment on ABC’s The View where the show had to issue a legal note correcting a lie about Gaetz days before he pulled his name for consideration.
“Within the Department of Justice, you know, you have the sex crimes unit, which is what I was a part of,” Hostin ranted. “Child sex crimes and child trafficking. How could you nominate someone with allegations of child trafficking or trafficking across state lines and having sex with a 17-year-old?”
Co-host Sunny Hostin went on a rant where she baselessly accused Gaetz of being involved in sex trafficking and having sex with a minor.
Hostin is an attorney and worked as a federal prosecutor before she began her career in TV.
She intentionally lied about Gaetz to damage his chances of being nominated.

This lie was so egregious that ABC News, the division The View is in, was forced to give her a legal note to read live on air.
“Sunny, you have a legal note,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said.
“I do, Whoopi, thank you,” a dejected Hostin replied.
Hostin stared at the camera with a pained look on her face.
“Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations,” a seething Hostin read. “Calling the claims ‘invented’ and saying in a statement to ABC News that, ‘This false smear following a three-year criminal investigation should be viewed with great skepticism.’ that DOJ investigation was closed with no charges being brought.”
The Biden Justice Department investigated Gaetz for three years as part of an investigation into someone who tried to extort and was charged with sex trafficking.
Biden officials against Justice Department policy and federal law leaked information to the media for years to smear Gaetz.
He is a threat to the system as someone who helped expose the Russian collusion hoax during Trump’s first term.
The Republican establishment, Democrats, the media, and the Washington, D.C. Swamp worked overtime, and threw everything but the kitchen sink at Matt Gaetz to keep him from being Attorney General.
