The mascot for a college is usually trying to fire up the crowd during the big game.
But one had something different on his agenda.
And the Miami Hurricanes mascot was put on notice by a reporter for making this wrong move.

College mascots are usually performing insane tricks during the game like BYU’s Cosmo the Cougar.

Others are doing a routine with a cheerleading squad to keep the fans in the game.
The University of Miami Hurricanes mascot Sebastian the Ibis was the subject of controversy during his team’s football game against the Syracuse University Orange.

Miami came into the final game of the regular season with everything on the line.
The 10-1 Hurricanes were playing for a chance to make the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) title game and trying to keep their hopes alive for the College Football Playoff.
Miami jumped out to a big lead, but Syracuse managed to rally from a 21-0 deficit
The seesaw affair saw the Orange win a shootout 42-38 after Miami decided to kick a field goal rather than go for it on a fourth down from the 10-yard line with under four minutes left in the game.
Sebastian was accused of being interested in something other than the tight game.
CNY Central reporter Ashley Wenskoski, a Syracuse graduate, accused Sebastian of hitting on her in the fourth quarter of the game.
“Sebastian the Ibis (Miami’s mascot) just kneeled down and asked for my number mid-drive,” Wenskoski wrote on X. “Feels like he has bigger things to worry about with his team on the ropes in the 4th quarter at the Dome…but who am I to say.”
Wenskoski did not reveal if she gave her number to the mascot.
Fans on social media let Sebastian have it for trying to put the moves on the reporter.
“For real or was he playing?! Miami could not maintain discipline across the board it seems!” a user on X wrote.
“Another L for Miami on the day,” another user added.
“Pretty sure I saw the aftermath of you getting outta there or a different scenario where it looked like he was giving the ‘aww come on’ hands. Cringe,” an X user who claimed to be at the game wrote.
Sebastian fires back at reporter who outed him
The Miami mascot had a response for the reporter after he was called out.
“They do anything for clout,” Sebastian wrote on social media with a yawning face emoji.

The mascot made a reference to the song by the rapper Offset accusing the reporter of seeking attention with her social media call out.
Sebastian made it known later that he was off the market.
He posted a picture of his female counterpart, Gertrude the Ibis.
Take it from the source, this bird is taken 🔒
