Florida is known for its beautiful and sandy beaches.
But many people do not know that there are nude beaches in the Sunshine State.
And police could not believe this Florida man’s excuse for walking around his neighborhood in his birthday suit.
The Florida coast is blessed with hundreds of miles of white sand, clear turquoise waters, and a lot of sunshine.
Some of the best beaches in the world are in Florida.
This includes well-known beaches like Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, Delray Beach, Destin Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Daytona Beach, and many others.
But Florida is also home to some of the best nude beaches and resorts in the world.
There are at least 10 different nude beaches in the Sunshine State.
Nudity is only legal on the clearly-identified portions of the beach.
But those rules did not matter to 73-year-old Rolf Braun.
On Sunday, the Lady Lake Police Department received a call about a man walking around the Recreation Plantation RV Resort in nothing but his birthday suit.
When police arrived, witnesses told them they saw the man walking around his RV lot while completely naked.
“Rolf entered the roadway and proceeded to stand there for no reason, exposing himself to the public,” the arrest report read. “Witness 1 stated while Rolf was in the roadway and in the yard, his penis and buttock was exposed to anyone in the park that was in the vicinity of the incident.”
The police went to Braun’s camper to ask him questions.
And they were in for a surprise when Braun opened the door wearing a T-shirt as shorts with his genitals exposed through the neck opening.
“Rolf was wearing a t-shirt as shorts when he answered the door, exposing his penis and testicles through the neck part of the t-shirt,” the arrest report stated.
Braun refused to cooperate with the police.
He resisted arrest but the police officers managed to get him cuffed.
“Rolf was removed from the stairs and continuously pulled away from me as I was directing him to place his hands behind his back,” the affidavit declared.
The police questioned Braun about walking around the park nude.
According to the affidavit, Braun told the officers that “there are nude beaches in Florida so he can be nude in his neighborhood.”
Braun was arrested and booked in the Lake County Jail.
He was charged with exposure of sexual organs and resisting without violence and was given a $2,000 bond.
