Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has made Florida a national leader in almost every single matrix.
This includes Florida’s almost flawless election system.
And now Ron DeSantis just lobbed an epic truth bomb on the state of California that has Gavin Newsom seeing red.
Popular Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has overseen some of the most remarkable victories anywhere in the nation.
Election victories on every single level
And the 2024 elections were yet another sign of the DeSantis miracle.
DeSantis boldly campaigned against Amendment 4 which would have legalized abortion with no limits up to birth.
And Florida became one of only 3 states to defeat pro-abortion referendums due to his leadership on the issue.
Donald Trump swept the Sunshine State with more than 56% of the vote.
And Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) easily won reelection.
But perhaps even more important was just how Florida counted the votes.
Despite being the third most populous state in the nation, Florida was able to count all its votes on election day.
This is completely different than what happened in other states like Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
And California is still counting votes more than two weeks later.
DeSantis decided to take to X and make it known just how he felt about that.

In his post, DeSantis blasted California, not just for still counting votes, but also for refusing to even consider changes to its vote-counting process.
And he was quick to point out that while other states are looking to Florida’s election process as a model, California is not one of them.
California should follow Arizona’s lead
DeSantis responded to a post by Florida’s Secretary of State in which he said, “Yesterday, I and my team @FLSecofState spoke with legislative leaders from Arizona including the Senate President and Speaker of the House about how Florida’s election code allows for the timely and accurate counting of ballots. We are happy to share the Florida blueprint.”
In his response, DeSantis noted that California is still counting votes and refusing to follow Arizona’s lead in learning how to count votes properly.
DeSantis wrote, “California is still “counting” votes — and there are two congressional races where the leads enjoyed by GOP incumbents have been either eliminated or dramatically reduced long after Election Day.”
He also pointed out that “It is possible that Republicans lose one or both of these seats — making the House majority razor thin.”
But then DeSantis really let loose on California writing, “California’s election system is a disgrace and the state should follow Arizona’s lead, recognize the need for an overhaul, and enact transparent reforms.”
Of course, DeSantis has had a running feud with California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom.
The two Governors have traded barbs over everything from policy to the weather.
While DeSantis has led Florida to become the premier state in the nation due to his conservative free market policies, Newsom has led California into economic ruin.
And Ron DeSantis clearly is not going to let Gavin Newsom forget it.
