Ron DeSantis warns of terrorist attacks committed by illegal aliens
The border crisis has seen millions of unvetted illegal aliens enter the country under President Joe Biden.
Anyone can stroll into America via the wide-open southern border.
The Biden administration released eight illegal aliens from Tajikistan without vetting them at the San Diego section of the border.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested the eight Tajiks in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia because of their suspected ties to the Islamic terror group ISIS.
The number of illegal aliens apprehended by the Border Patrol on the FBI’s terrorism watchlist has exploded during the Biden Presidency.
Terror watchlist apprehensions were 11 caught during former President Donald Trump’s term between 2017 and 2020.
That number jumped to 362 between 2021 and April 2024.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned of illegal aliens committing a terrorist attack last year while in New York for a 9/11 anniversary event.
“I would say that with Biden’s open border, there’s going to be someone that came through that border that will eventually commit a terrorist attack in the United States of America,” DeSantis said at the time. “I hope I’m wrong about that. But I think I’m right, and I think that that’s likely to happen.”
Now terrorists connected to ISIS are inside the country.
Ron DeSantis predicts that terror is coming to the United States
The arrests of the suspected terrorists from Tajikistan led DeSantis to renew his prediction that something unbelievably bad would happen because of the open border.
“You’ve had 10, 11 million [immigrants] come in illegally since 2019…what are the odds that there will end up being a terror attack as a result? I think there will be,” DeSantis said at a press conference. “How could you have that many people and not have some people that are hostile?”
He pointed to the increased probability with the astronomical number of illegal aliens pouring into the country.
“If just 0.1 percent are bad that’s gonna cause havoc,” DeSantis added. “And we know there’s obviously more problems than that. From a security perspective, it’s a big deal.”
DeSantis said that crimes committed by illegal aliens did not have to happen.
“We have angel parents…these are crimes that if you just had control of the border would not have happened,” DeSantis said. “Any crimes that were committed would not have happened by definition.”
DeSantis has been sounding the alarm on the national security threat posed by the southern border for years.
“You end up having people, we don’t know who they are. There’s Russians coming in across the border, there’s Iranians coming across, there’s Chinese coming across. I look at it and say, ‘Is there any way possible that we don’t have a terrorist attack in the future that can be linked to somebody across the border?’” DeSantis said on the Glenn Beck podcast last year.
The country could be facing the unthinkable because of Joe Biden’s dereliction of duty in securing the southern border.
