Democrats think they can change the trajectory of the Presidential race with a new candidate.
But Kamala Harris brings a whole new set of baggage for them to deal with.
And Ron DeSantis revealed one bad problem Democrats are facing for 2024.
Kamala Harris’ campaign faces a huge challenge
The launch of Vice President Kamala Harris’ Presidential campaign has the media hype train running at full steam.
Democrats’ enthusiasm is surging after a new candidate gave them hope after Biden’s campaign imploded.
But the good feelings that Democrats and their media allies have about Harris are masking a big problem she is facing.
She was the number two official in the deeply unpopular Biden-Harris administration, and she has a rap sheet a mile long of far-left positions she supported as a San Francisco Democrat.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis broke down the problems facing the Harris campaign during an appearance on Fox News channel’s Sunday Morning Futures.
“The Biden/Harris policies put the Democratic Party in a very precarious situation this election,” DeSantis explained.
DeSantis said that debate doomed the basement strategy for Biden and the media forced him out of the race after that.
“And now what you see is all the arteries of the left, the corporate media, Hollywood, academia, they’re using all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to try to put the Democratic Party back together again,” DeSantis stated.
That means rewriting Harris’ radical history to make her a palatable national candidate.
“And they have to whitewash Harris’ background to be able to make her palpable to the American people,” DeSantis said. “But I think we have all seen her. I mean, she’s incredibly vapid, even more incredibly liberal, and she doesn’t have any accomplishments.”
A blizzard of lies is in the forecast for this election
DeSantis said the weather in Florida is hot this summer but a “blizzard of lies” was coming from Democrats and the media about Harris’ record.
“There’s not going to be any pushback from the entrenched corporate media, and they’re going to try to rewrite history, and they’re going to try to present her as something that she’s just not,” DeSantis said.
He listed ways the media is already trying to rewrite her record.
“Make no mistake about it. You are in for 100 days of massive gaslighting from the corporate press. They’re already taking down — there was a Web site where she was the most liberal Senator, GovTrack. They took that down. They’re whitewashing things from her past,” DeSantis explained.
DeSantis thought the election was over in June after the debate.
But Biden’s replacement owns all his failures serving as his Vice President.
“Now that he’s out, if we had to pick someone, I think we would pick Harris, because she owns all the policies,” DeSantis stated. “She’s not going to be able to distance herself from them, and most Americans think this country is going in the wrong direction. So, make the case there.”
Kamala Harris will do everything possible to hide and revise her record from now until Election Day.
