Steve Bannon urges Matt Gaetz to get even with the Swamp
The Washington, D.C. Swamp loathes former Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) because he was a no-holds-barred conservative warrior.
He has been the victim of a vicious character assassination campaign that began with illegal and unethical leaks to the media by the Biden Justice Department.
Gaetz was never charged with any crime and if Democrat prosecutors had a shred of evidence that would have put him on trial.
The House Ethics Committee released an ethics investigation, against protocol, in an attempt to smear the former member that was based on hearsay and discredited witnesses.
Gaetz resigned from the House after President-elect Donald Trump nominated him to be his Attorney General and he eventually withdrew his name from consideration after the smear campaign against him tanked his chances of being confirmed.
Now, he is set to host a nightly show on One American News Network (OANN) after leaving elected office.
War Room podcast host Steve Bannon told him to keep fighting against the Swamp and return to Congress.
“I’m strongly urging Matt Gaetz to return to Congress and on its first day next year, take a page from that old song ‘The Harper Valley PTA’ and expose all the hypocrites in the House who have used tax money to cover up their sexual depravity,” Bannon said.
Congress has paid more than $17 million to settle over 250 sexual harassment cases but the information about who has been involved has been kept under wraps.
Matt Gaetz needs to double down in the face of attacks
Bannon told his audience that the only way to win against the Swamp was to fight fire with fire.
“And the only way that we get that– we stop is to blink and play by their rules. Screw their rules. Screw them,” Bannon declared. “They have destroyed this country. And Gaetz has to come back.”
He encouraged Gaetz to pass on the OANN gig to return to Congress.
To go to One America is to accept defeat. God, this is so obvious,” Bannon explained. “Take the Ethics report and shove it up you’re a**. That’s what I think. Gates must return like Trump returns. We don’t back down. Double down.”
Gaetz hinted that he could run for Senate or Florida Governor in the 2026 Election.
Bannon made similar remarks to a crowd at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest event about Gaetz staying in the fight.
“Here’s the thing. And I think that’s going to need to know that people have his back. Do we care what an Ethics Committee report says about Matt Gaetz?” Bannon asked the crowd.
“Do we love Matt Gaetz?” Bannon said which resulted in cheers.
“See what they try to do. If you’re intimidated on anything, when they instead of backing down like the Republicans do, you double down, right? Instead of retreating, we go fixed bayonets and we advance. Is what saved Hegseth. Right. Instead of surrender, we fight,” Bannon stated.
Matt Gaetz will have the support of the MAGA base if he decides to make a political comeback in the future.
