Sylvester Stallone was knocked out in one fight that he never saw coming

Sylvester Stallone has taken on a lot of big challenges in his legendary career.

He finally found one that he could not conquer.

And Sylvester Stallone was knocked out in one fight that he never saw coming.

Sylvester Stallone’s neighbors reject plan to build seaweed barrier

Actor Sylvester Stallone got knocked down by his neighbors in Palm Beach, Florida over a proposed seaweed barrier in the Intracoastal Waterway.

He and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, relocated to a $35 million mansion in Palm Beach from Los Angeles that features more than 200 feet of beachfront on the Intracoastal.

A proposal was submitted by Stallone to build a massive floating barrier in the water that was 191 feet long by 50 feet wide to supposedly block seaweed from washing up on the beach.

The barrier would have jutted out into a part of the Intracoastal that is popular with locals for kayaking and boating.

A permit with the Army Corps of Engineers revealed that the primary purpose of the barrier was to keep boaters from getting too close to Stallone’s private beach.

His neighbors in Palm Beach were outraged over the possibility of the barrier obstructing the popular waterway.

The barrier was rejected after Stallone pled his case at a Palm Beach Town Council meeting.

Stallone and his attorney appeared at the meeting where he said he wanted the barrier to stop “derelict” boats that leave “gas, trash, and sewage” in the water near his mansion.

“It’s unbelievable to me that you can have your house, your things, your boat — the place that’s your sanctuary — and you can have some guy sit there for 10 months and do his laundry in front of me and there’s nothing you can do about it,” Stallone said at the meeting.

Palm Beach residents fight like Rocky to stop Stallone

Palm Beach resident Jane Lindsay Scott argued that the Intracoastal Waterway should remain unobstructed.

“The onus is on that property owner to come up with a way of mitigating their exposure,” Scott said. “But the waterway should remain open.”

Other residents argued that Stallone gave up his privacy when he purchased a property on a public waterway.

Palm Beach Town Council President Bobbie Lindsay told the Rocky star they would oppose the project.

“It’s tough being so famous, and we have lots of celebrities and important people who live here, but you’re the only Rocky and Rambo, so it’s tough,” Lindsay said. “I think we simply must object to this particular one.”

Stallone’s lawyer announced that he would be throwing in the towel on the barrier which caused the residents to cheer.

President-elect Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home is about eight miles from Stallone’s mansion in Palm Beach.

The actor said that he has spoken about his troubles with the city with Trump.

Trump has had his own run-ins with Palm Beach over trying to make Mar-a-Lago his primary residence and to rezone it into a club.

Sylvester Stallone has beaten some of the biggest villains in his movies, but the town of Palm Beach was too much for him to overcome.
