This string of recent headlines out of Florida will make Gavin Newsom sit down and be quiet

May 29, 2024

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom take a completely different approach when it comes to governing.

Newsom spent the past two years attacking Ron DeSantis over his pro-freedom policies.

But this string of recent headlines out of Florida will make Gavin Newsom sit down and be quiet.

Ron DeSantis catapulted into the national spotlight during the pandemic for his refusal to go along with Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci’s lockdowns and mandates.

But DeSantis was just getting started.

He then turned his attention to taking on the Left’s woke ideology, which elevated him to rock star status among GOP voters.

California Governor Gavin Newsom saw an opportunity to boost his national credentials with Democrat Party voters by attacking Ron DeSantis.

Before the 2022 Midterm elections, Newsom dropped $100,000 on a TV ad attacking DeSantis on Independence Day in Florida.

Newsom then made a six-figure donation to help Democrat Charlie Crist in his failed quest to defeat DeSantis.

DeSantis and Newsom eventually squared off in a debate moderated by Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel.

But the truth is that there is no debate to be had between DeSantis and Newsom.

The difference between Florida and California says it all.

California is a raging dumpster fire with a massive crime and homelessness problem.

Residents are packing up and fleeing California in droves.

But Florida is breaking records under DeSantis’ leadership.

And a recent string of headlines out of the Sunshine State should make Gavin Newsom finally sit down and be quiet.

A record-breaking 140 million total tourists visited Florida in 2023.

“Once again, Florida leads the nation as an unrivaled destination for tourists,” DeSantis said. “These record-breaking numbers show that our work has made the free state of Florida even more attractive to visitors.”

Not only that, but U.S. News and World Report ranked Florida as the best place in America for education, parental rights, and the economy.

“Florida is the No. 1 state in the country for education,” DeSantis said. “By focusing on core academic subjects and rejecting indoctrination in the classroom, we have become a standard-bearer for educational excellence.”

Florida is also home to the top-rated city in America to live in according to U.S. News and World Report’s ranking.

Of the 150 best places to live, Naples, Florida topped the list for 2024, with 14 Florida cities in the top 150.

California only had four cities in the top 150.

While California is losing residents by the hundreds of thousands, Florida ranked in the top for having the highest and fastest growth.

And Florida was ranked the second-best place for military retirees to live.

Gavin Newsom can run his mouth all he wants to at Ron DeSantis.

But the numbers do not lie.

And they show California is a raging dumpster fire while Florida continues to flourish under Ron DeSantis.
