Tom Homan teamed up with Florida for one plan that was bad news for illegal aliens

Tom Homan is kicking mass deportations into high gear.

Everything is starting to come together.

And Tom Homan teamed up with Florida for one plan that was bad news for illegal aliens.

Florida Highway Patrol joins the illegal immigration crackdown

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to deputize Florida Highway Patrol troopers to arrest and detain illegal aliens under a 287(g) program.

The program is named for a section of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 that allows the federal government to authorize state and local law enforcement to help with immigration enforcement.

Deputizing the Florida Highway Patrol makes them a force multiplier to help ICE with President Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan.

The Miami Herald uncovered a Florida Highway Patrol plan for troopers under the 287(g) program.

“Every effort should be made to take the subject into custody and deliver them to a county jail,” Florida Highway Patrol attorney Bill Milton wrote.

Troopers arrest any illegal alien they encounter that breaks the law and then turn them over to a jail until an ICE detainer can be placed on them.

Illegal aliens suspected of committing a crime can be held for an hour, which could be enough time for ICE to take them into custody.

Troopers are using crimes like driving without a license, reckless driving, and open warrants to sweep up illegal aliens.

They are waiting to get the authority where they can arrest illegal aliens for the federal crime of being in the country illegally.

Once they have that power the gloves will be coming entirely off.

Illegal aliens wanted by ICE have civil warrants on them.

“These are civil warrants… not criminal warrants,” Milton explained. “At present, troopers have no authority to enforce them.”

Florida Highway Troopers are told to use this information and call for ICE while they stall for time.

Florida does its part to help Tom Homan

DeSantis was happy to have Florida’s state and local law enforcement join the Trump administration’s crackdown.

“We didn’t hesitate to step up,” DeSantis said. “We will take advantage of this, and we will be strong partners. The goal is we need to reestablish interior enforcement in this country.”

Task forces have been set up between ICE, the Florida Highway Patrol, and county sheriff’s offices to target the worst of the worst illegal alien criminals in an area.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers will also be in airports, seaports, and along the coast in addition to roads.

“This is a deputization of state enforcement entities. It will allow our ongoing operations to continue, but it will also establish a permanent path forward for dealing with illegal migrants in police custody,” DeSantis stated.

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle executive director Dave Kerner argued that 287(g) would be a game-changer for the state.

“History will show that this agreement will have served as a turning point in the battle to defend our homeland and to defend our state,” Kerner said.

Florida is stepping up and doing its part to help Tom Homan deport illegal aliens.
